The One In Barbados is the 23rd episode of the ninth and penultimate season of the popular television show Friends. The episode is a one-hour special, split into two parts, and was originally aired on May 15, 2003.

The gang travels to Barbados, where Ross is set to give a keynote speech at a paleontology conference. While on the trip, the gang has many misadventures and hilarious antics, all while navigating their love lives.

With Ross freshly single, he finds himself drawn to Charlie, a paleontology professor from Princeton who he met at the conference. However, he soon finds himself competing with Joey for her affections.

Meanwhile, Monica and Chandler struggle to reignite the spark in their relationship after they accidentally learn that they are infertile. Monica becomes fixated on a plan to adopt a child, which takes a mental and emotional toll on the couple.

Rachel also finds herself dealing with romantic woes as she navigates her feelings for Joey and Ross. She's unsure about whether or not to pursue a relationship with Joey while Ross is still in the picture.

The rest of the gang also have their own unique moments as they explore the beautiful island. Phoebe volunteers for a charity, and her personality clashes with the uptight British woman in charge of the event. Meanwhile, Joey finds himself taking on a new role as an assistant to a famous actor, to less than glamorous results.

The One In Barbados is a transitional episode for the Friends gang as they navigate the challenges of life and love in a beautiful tropical location. As always, the episode is filled with humor, heart, and awkward moments that will keep viewers laughing and engaged.
