In Futurama season 5 episode 2, titled "Jurassic Bark," the crew of Planet Express discovers a fossilized dog named Seymour from the 20th century. Fry becomes obsessed with bringing him back to life, but the Professor warns that trying to resurrect the pet could have disastrous consequences.

Despite the warnings, Fry goes ahead with the plan and leaves the fossilized dog at Applied Cryogenics to be cloned. However, there is a mix-up with Fry's delivery slip, and a pizza box gets sent to the cloning facility instead of the fossilized dog.

When Fry realizes the mistake, he is devastated, but Bender decides to cheer him up by buying a new robot dog named Snuffles. Initially, Snuffles seems like the perfect pet for Fry, but as time goes on, the robot dog becomes increasingly intelligent and begins to resent being treated like a pet.

Meanwhile, Leela discovers a recording left by Fry for Seymour before he was frozen, revealing the depth of Fry's love for his former pet. Moved by the video, Leela decides to track down Seymour's remains, which have been put on display in a museum.

When they arrive at the museum, they find that Seymour had been waiting for Fry to return for 12 years before passing away. Heartbroken, Fry decides not to go through with cloning Seymour after all and instead decides to honor his memory by leaving his fossilized remains at the museum in a display case.

"Jurassic Bark" is a poignant episode that explores the complexities of human relationships with pets and the grief that comes with loss. The episode offers a touching tribute to the unshakeable bond between humans and their furry companions and highlights the importance of cherishing the time we have with them.
