In 2014, Bravo aired a reality television series called “Game of Crowns” that followed six women from the world of beauty pageants as they competed for the title of “Mrs. America.” The show, created by Jeff Collins, John Redmann and Mike Aho, ran for one season and consisted of ten hour-long episodes.

The premise of the show revolved around the idea that beauty pageants didn’t end after the crowning of the winner. Instead, the competition continued on a more personal level as former titleholders competed against each other for a new prize – the chance to win the coveted “Mrs. America” crown. The six women featured on the show came from different backgrounds and were at different stages in their lives. They all had one thing in common, however – a deep passion for pageantry.

The main cast members were Shelley Carbone, a former beauty queen herself who was now managing her daughter’s career; Lynne Diamante, a stay-at-home mom who was determined to win the Mrs. America title and prove that she could be both a good wife and a successful career woman; Vanassa Sebastian, a former pageant winner who had been accused of cheating and was now fighting to clear her name; Susanna Paliotta, a former “Miss New York” who had struggled with addiction but was now sober and ready to compete; Leha Guiamo, a former Mrs. Rhode Island who was engaged to a professional wrestler; and Lori-Ann Marchese, a fitness expert and former Miss Rhode Island who was known for being outspoken and controversial.

Throughout the show, viewers got to see the women facing off against each other in a variety of challenges, from swimsuit competitions to talent shows to charity events. They also got to witness the various personal dramas that arose between the contestants, with alliances being made and broken and friendships being tested.

One of the most hotly debated aspects of the show was its portrayal of beauty pageants as a whole. Some viewers praised the show for shedding light on the hard work and dedication that goes into competing in pageants, while others criticized it for perpetuating outdated and harmful stereotypes about women and their appearances.

Despite the mixed reactions, the show did manage to attract a dedicated fan base, some of whom were disappointed when it was not renewed for a second season. Many of the show’s stars have continued to be involved in the pageant world since the show ended, with Shelley Carbone going on to become the president of the National American Miss organization and Susanna Paliotta using her experiences on the show to launch a speaking career focused on overcoming addiction.

Overall, “Game of Crowns” was a unique and entertaining addition to the realm of reality television, showcasing the fierce competition and personal dramas that can arise in the world of beauty pageants. Whether or not it accurately portrayed the realities of that world is up for debate, but there’s no denying that it made for some compelling TV.

Game of Crowns is a series that is currently running and has 1 seasons (10 episodes). The series first aired on July 13, 2014.
