Dear 'Game of Thrones': Please Stop Casting New People

Dear 'Game of Thrones': Please Stop Casting New People Before anyone gets the wrong idea, let me say this: I love "Game of Thrones." Seriously, I love it. If "Game of Thrones" were the girl at the bar who you're kind of into but then you see her in better light and you're like "meh," I'd still marry that girl, because it's "Game of Thrones."

But seriously, all of these new characters are giving me anxiety. This casting run has to stop. I love the idea of expanding this show and making it more epic, and of course I'm all for employing more actors (especially since "GoT" has a propensity for casting newcomers and no-namers).

But I had enough trouble keeping everyone straight in season one. What am I going to do in season two, with a double-digit addition of new characters?

Honestly, I watched every episode of season one religiously, and I can still name only about five characters. Let's test my memory, shall we? There's Denarys, Bran (I remember him because he sounds like a muffin), Jamie, Tyrion, Jon Snow, and of course Ned and Khal Drogo. Oh, and the youngest Stark girl had a sword named Needle, but for the life of me right now I can't think of her name.

Maybe I just have a terrible memory, but when there's this big an ensemble cast and everybody has weird names, I have a lot of trouble keeping everyone straight. I recognize them all (hey, there's the guy who betrayed the Starks! Hey, there's the other guy who betrayed the Starks!) but I can't put names to faces.

So with news that Lucian Msamati, Nonso Anozie and Lauren Pradelska (you wouldn't even have to give these guys character names, they already sound like they belong in Westeros) are joining the cast, as well as Robert Pugh, Roy Dotrice, Tom Wlaschiha, Stephen Dillane, Carice Van Houten, Gwendoline Christie, Natalie Dormer, and oh my god that's not even all of them, the outlook for my understanding of the intricacies of season two is grim.

Maybe I'm an idiot. Actually, chances are pretty good that I am...I can't even remember my own family members' birthdays. But on the plus side, I still thoroughly enjoyed season one of "Game of Thrones," despite still not knowing who the hell anyone is. My guess is I'll enjoy season two just as much.
