Ep 6. Imprisoned Souls: New Zealand

Imprisoned Souls: New Zealand is the sixth episode of the third season of the show Ghost Hunters International. The team travels to New Zealand to investigate the former Napier Prison, which has a dark history of executions and mistreatment of prisoners. The team comprises lead investigator Robb Demarest, medium Chris Fleming, tech manager Barry Fitzgerald, historian Paul Bradford, and new member Susan Slaughter, who is a skeptic.

The episode begins with the team driving to the prison and discussing its history. They arrive and interview the owner about some of the previous paranormal experiences that have occurred on the premises. She manages to capture some EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomena) that seem to be answering her questions.

Meanwhile, Barry and Paul are investigating the darkest and most violent part of the prison, the execution room. They hear footsteps and see shadows, but no spirits seem to be showing themselves to them. Chris, the medium, is investigating the solitary confinement cells and is overwhelmed by the negative energy and suffering he feels there. He starts picking up on the emotions and stories of the prisoners who were kept there and has a powerful emotional reaction.

Robb and the rest of the team are investigating the main cell block, where most of the paranormal activity has been reported. They use a laser grid to try to capture any movement in the dark and set up a flashlight experiment to ask the spirits yes or no questions. They hear unexplained noises and see shadows moving, but nothing seems to be responding to their questions.

As the investigation comes to a close, the team gathers to review their evidence and share their experiences. They analyze the EVPs Susan captured and realize they seem to be the voices of the female prisoners, possibly pleading for help. They also find some unexplained readings on their EMF (Electromagnetic Field) meters. However, they are disappointed that they didn't capture more evidence, given the prison's haunted reputation.
