Ghost, also known as Phantom, is a 2012 Korean drama series that revolves around crime and mystery. It was produced by SBS and directed by Kim Hyung-suk. The show starred So Ji-sub as Kim Woo-Hyun, a detective who seeks revenge against the people who framed his father for a crime he did not commit. Other members of the cast include Lee Yeon-hee as Yoo Kang-mi, Uhm Ki-joon as Jo Hyun-min, Kwak Do-won as Kwon Hyuk-joon, and Song Ha-yoon as Choi Seung-yeon.

The show's plot is centered around the cyber team of the National Police Agency and their efforts to take down a notorious hacker group called "the black phantoms." The black phantoms are responsible for stealing sensitive information, committing various cybercrimes, and manipulating stock markets for their own profit. Despite their efforts, the cyber team is unable to apprehend the black phantoms due to their highly sophisticated tactics and well-protected identities.

Enter Kim Woo-hyun, a former member of the cyber team who is now working as a detective. He is contacted by Yoo Kang-mi, a member of the cyber team, who reveals to him that the black phantoms are actually led by Jo Hyun-min, the son of a prominent businessman. Jo had framed Kim's father for a crime and caused him to commit suicide in order to cover up his own illegal activities. Kim, fueled by revenge and seeking justice for his father, decides to join forces with the cyber team to take down Jo and the black phantoms.

The show's central theme is the relationship between humans and technology. Throughout the series, we see the negative consequences of technology as it is used by the black phantoms to commit crimes and manipulate the world around them. At the same time, we see the positive impact of technology as it is used by the cyber team to solve crimes and bring about justice. The show also touches upon topics such as personal sacrifice, loyalty, and the consequences of one's actions.

The acting and chemistry between the actors in Ghost are noteworthy. So Ji-sub delivers a solid performance as a brooding detective seeking revenge. His performance is complemented by Lee Yeon-hee's portrayal of Yoo Kang-mi, who serves as his partner and love interest. Uhm Ki-joon delivers an impressive performance as Jo Hyun-min, the charismatic leader of the black phantoms. Kwak Do-won adds depth to the show as Kwon Hyuk-joon, the leader of the cyber team.

The cinematography of Ghost is also captivating. The show's use of soft focus and muted colors give it a dreamlike quality, while the stylish camera work and editing give the show a modern, high-tech feel. The show's music also adds to the overall atmosphere of the show, with the haunting score emphasizing the tension and drama of each episode.

One aspect of the show that some viewers may find challenging is the technical jargon and use of technology. The show's focus on cybercrime and technology means that the audience needs to have a basic understanding of hacking, coding, and other technical terms to fully appreciate the plot. However, the show's writers do an excellent job of simplifying these concepts and explaining them in layman's terms.

Overall, Ghost is a gripping, well-written, and well-acted drama that continues to be popular among fans of the crime and mystery genres. Its use of technology as a central theme makes it unique among K-Dramas, and the captivating visuals and music make it a feast for the senses. Despite its focus on technical jargon, the show remains accessible to those who are not technically savvy, making it a great choice for those looking for a thought-provoking and thrilling drama.

Ghost is a series that is currently running and has 1 seasons (20 episodes). The series first aired on May 30, 2012.
