God, the Devil and Bob is an American animated sitcom that aired on NBC in the year 2000. The show was created by Matthew Carlson and starred a fantastic voice cast, including Nancy Cartwright, French Stewart, James Garner, Alan Cumming, Laurie Metcalf, Jeff Doucette, and Kath Soucie.

The show is about Bob Allman, a hapless and flawed everyman, who gets a visit from God and the Devil. They have a wager over Bob's soul, and they both make their case as to why they are more deserving of it. God believes that human beings have the potential for good, and the Devil thinks that people are inherently evil. As a result, they both decide to give Bob a chance to prove which side he will take. Bob is granted a personal audience with God, and he is tasked with proving that humanity is worth saving.

Along with the fantastic voice cast, the show featured some excellent writing, which tackled subjects such as religion, morality, and the nature of human behavior. The show had a unique take on these subjects, and it managed to balance the comedic elements with the more serious issues raised. One of the most impressive things about the show was its humor; despite the sometimes-heavy subject matter, the show managed to remain funny and entertaining throughout.

The show was anchored by some fantastic performances, in particular, that of Nancy Cartwright. Cartwright, who is best known for voicing Bart Simpson on The Simpsons, played the role of Bob's wife, Donna. She brought a warm and relatable quality to the character, which made her a favorite among fans. French Stewart, who played the role of Bob, was equally impressive. He brought a dependable quality to the character, and his comedic timing was spot-on.

James Garner played the role of God, and his performance was nothing short of inspired. He brought a gravitas and a sense of authority to the character, which made his God both compelling and believable. Alan Cumming, who played the role of the Devil, was also excellent. He brought a mischievous quality to the character, which made him both sinister and comical.

The show also featured some fantastic guest stars, including Matt Damon, who played God's secretary, and Mark Hamill, who played the role of a TV evangelist. These guest appearances added to the show's appeal and helped to make it a hit with audiences.

Overall, God, the Devil, and Bob was an excellent show that tackled some significant themes with intelligence and humor. It was a show that had a unique perspective on religion and human behavior, and it was well worth watching. Even though it only lasted one season, it is still remembered fondly by those who watched it and remains a cult favorite to this day.

Megan's disgusted when Donna says she's auditioning for "Arsenic and Old Lace" at school; can't her mom just accept that life has passed her by? Bob's shocked when he finds the "f-word" written on Andy's new lunch box; Andy claims he doesn't know how it got there. An angry Bob has no time to play with Andy. He's off to a PTA meeting to complain that teachers have no idea what kids are up to. His credibility goes out the window when it's revealed that he's at the wrong school. Bob encounters God in the men's room of the Classy Chassis and asks him who's to blame for Andy's lunch box. Teachers? Society? Hollywood? God suggests that Bob should try looking within instead of looking for someone else to blame, but Bob isn't buying it. Bob hears a talk show host (who's actually the Devil) discussing exactly what he's concerned about (graffiti on lunch boxes), so he calls in. Before he knows it, he's heading a committee that will meet at his house the following night. Twenty people with twenty different agendas gather a Bob's house, and they all start clamoring at once with their ideas. In hell, Smeck and the Devil thoroughly enjoy watching the chaos in Bob's living room. Later that evening, Donna happily tells Bob she's landed a part in the play. Bob's too excited about the committee to pay much attention. They're going to root out the garbage that's polluting their kids' minds. The next day Bob gets arrested as he and his group attempt to confiscate Rap CDs from a music store. Out ...

Bob and his family are on vacation for a few days at a Lake Michigan resort. Bob encounters God in the dining room, and God suddenly drops down behind Bob in an attempt to hide from an attractive woman in her early forties, Sarah. Sarah sees God and comes over. She's clearly flirting with God as she tells Bob that she and God go back a long way. Bob's intrigued as Sarah suggests dinner that night and God tries, unsuccessfully, to get out of it. Later God admits to Bob that while he and Sarah worked together on several worthwhile projects, such as mandatory bike helmets, he began to suspect that she was falling for him so he took off. The Devil tries to encourage God to pursue a relationship with Sarah, but God stresses that a relationship for him with a human isn't possible. The Devil confides to Smeck that he arranged for Sarah to be at the resort; he wants to distract God while they do a little mischief in heaven. Bob's having trouble with the plumbing in his hotel room, so God says he'll stay and fix the pipes if Bob will go have dinner with Sarah. The Devil and Smeck show up at the pearly gates, and St. Peter lets them in for twenty-four hours; he's not worried, because the Devil has no power in heaven. At dinner, Sarah complains to Bob that God has intimacy issues. Donna is dealing with a badly sunburned Megan who, as usual, is over-dramatizing the situation and saying she may need skin grafts. In heaven, the Devil tells the Archangel Michael that God has given him permi...
