Blair Waldorf goes on a mission to salvage her reputation after losing her coveted spot on Constance Billard's annual charity fashion show. She struggles to figure out how to get back on top, especially after being humiliated by her former friend, Chuck Bass. Her ex-boyfriend, Nate Archibald, suggests teaming up with Gossip Girl, but Blair is hesitant to involve the anonymous blogger.
Meanwhile, Dan and Vanessa team up to write a screenplay for a short film competition, but their creative differences threaten to derail their partnership. When Vanessa invites Dan to a loft party, he feels out of place in the artsy crowd and questions whether he belongs there.
Jenny Humphrey is determined to win the fashion show and prove herself to her father, but her designs are met with harsh criticism from the judges. Her brother, Dan, comforts her and encourages her to keep trying, but Jenny is too obsessed with validation and resorts to desperate measures to win.
As tensions rise between the Humphreys and the Upper East Side elite, a dangerous game of capture the flag ensues at the charity event. Chuck is still reeling from his breakup with Blair and uses the game as an opportunity to prove his worth to his peers. However, the competition quickly turns nasty and dangerous, leaving everyone's safety in question.
In the end, alliances are formed and broken, secrets are revealed, and someone gets seriously hurt. The fallout from the event sends shockwaves through the Upper East Side, leaving everyone questioning who they can trust and what their future holds.
