Ep 14. War & Peace

Case 2 (G). This story is about Rusty and Rebecca's undeniable chemistry as they work together to organize a science fair presentation. But their partnership quickly implodes when Rebecca insists on adding a team of five nerdy extras to their project and Rusty believes that their presentation should be a two-person show. Meanwhile, Casey and Cappie participate in a charity fundraiser in which the player who raises the most money is crowned as the God/Goddess of War and Peace. Although they both pretend that the competition doesn't mean anything, it soon becomes obvious that winning is more important than they initially admitted. When Casey becomes embroiled in a scandal with the charity organization, Cappie offers to help her by pulling a series of elaborate pranks on her opponent. However, the fun and games quickly come to an end when the pranks go too far and Casey destroys her competitor's fundraising efforts. With the science fair competition heating up and the God/Goddess of War and Peace competition reaching its climax, tensions run high on campus. Rusty finds himself increasingly frustrated with Rebecca's unwillingness to see eye-to-eye with him, and their rivalry eventually reaches a breaking point when they both give a joint presentation that they each sabotaged behind the other's back. Meanwhile, Casey finds herself ostracized by her sorority sisters when they find out about her involvement in the charity scandal. Cappie, sensing that she is in dire need of support, offers her a shoulder to lean on. But when Casey takes his kindness for granted and begins to take his help for granted, Cappie is forced to assert his independence and remind her that he is not her personal property to use whenever she sees fit. In the end, the science fair ends in a draw and both Rebecca and Rusty are forced to acknowledge that they are better off working alone. The charity fundraiser comes to an exciting conclusion, with Casey coming out on top after her rival's efforts fall apart. However, the victory is bittersweet for Casey, who finally realizes that she has been taking Cappie for granted and has been so focused on winning that she has lost sight of what really matters.
