In Season 1 Episode 12 of Hairy Bikers, titled "Maine Course," the biking duo of Dave Myers and Si King take their Harley Davidson motorcycles to Maine, where they explore the state's unique cuisine.

They start their culinary adventure by meeting up with a lobster fisherman, who takes them out into the ocean to catch some of the state's famous lobsters. After catching the lobsters, they cook them up in a traditional Maine-style lobster bake, which involves steaming the lobsters with corn and potatoes.

Next, the Hairy Bikers visit a cannery where they learn how to can and preserve blueberries, one of Maine's most famous exports. They also visit a local brewery and sample some of the state's best craft beers.

The duo takes a detour into the woods to meet a family of maple syrup producers, who show them the process of tapping maple trees and boiling down the syrup. The Hairy Bikers then use the maple syrup to make a traditional New England dessert, maple syrup tart.

Moving on from the sweet desserts, Dave and Si visit a farm that raises grass-fed beef and gives them a cooking lesson on how to make the perfect burger.

Finally, the duo wraps up their Maine adventure by cooking a seafood chowder with smoked haddock and bacon, a classic Maine dish that is perfect for the colder months.

Throughout the episode, the Hairy Bikers meet with local farmers, fishermen, and artisans who showcase the unique flavors and food traditions of the state. They also provide cooking tips and tricks that viewers can use at home to replicate the recipes featured in the episode.
