In Hannibal season 2 episode 7, entitled "Yakimono," the series delves deeper into the twisted world of its titular character, Hannibal Lecter. This episode sees Hannibal continuing to manipulate those around him as he goes to increasingly extreme lengths to cover his tracks.

The episode starts off with Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) visiting Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) in his prison cell. Crawford is feeling guilty for not believing Will when he told him that Hannibal was the Chesapeake Ripper, but Will urges him to let go of his guilt and focus on catching the real killer.

Meanwhile, Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen) is busy living his double life. He meets with his patient, Margot Verger (Katharine Isabelle), who is struggling with her abusive brother Mason (Michael Pitt). Hannibal gives her some advice on how to deal with him, but it's clear that he has his own agenda.

Elsewhere, we see Freddie Lounds (Lara Jean Chorostecki) and Alana Bloom (Caroline Dhavernas) teaming up to try to get to the bottom of what's been going on with Will and Hannibal. They think that there's more to the story than what they've been told, and they're determined to figure it out.

As the episode progresses, it becomes clear that Hannibal is up to something. He sets his sights on a new victim - a woman named Miriam Lass (Anna Chlumsky), who was thought to have been kidnapped by the Chesapeake Ripper years before. Hannibal uses his powers of persuasion to make Miriam believe that Crawford is the Chesapeake Ripper instead.

Will, who has been struggling with his own mental health issues, starts to have some breakthroughs in his therapy sessions. He's starting to remember more about what happened to him and what Hannibal did to him. But with Hannibal continuing to manipulate those around him, it's unclear if Will will ever be able to get the justice he deserves.

As the episode reaches its climax, the tension becomes almost unbearable. Hannibal's plan starts to unravel as Miriam realizes the truth about who the real killer is. There's a shocking twist that no one sees coming, and it leaves us wondering what will happen next.

Overall, Hannibal season 2 episode 7 is a thrilling, intense episode that's sure to leave viewers on the edge of their seats. It's a testament to the show's ability to keep us guessing and to keep us invested in its characters, even as they become increasingly complex and morally ambiguous. With its stunning visuals, incredible performances, and dark, twisted storyline, Hannibal is one of the most captivating shows on television.
