Ep 4. The Sanitarium / Firehouse Phantom

In "The Sanitarium / Firehouse Phantom," the fourth episode of Haunted Collector's first season, lead paranormal investigator John Zaffis and his team brave two different spooky locations. First, Zaffis heads to a former sanitarium, where patients were once treated for tuberculosis. The building is now used as a bed and breakfast, but guests have reported strange activity, such as hearing coughing and whispers coming from empty hallways.

Zaffis and his team start their investigation by surveying the sanitarium's grounds. They discover several old medical tools in the grass, which they believe may be attached to the spirits of former patients. Inside the building, they use equipment like EMF detectors and thermal imaging cameras to attempt to communicate with any other wandering spirits. They also find eerie objects like old syringes and hospital gowns in the attic.

Next, Zaffis and the team visit a firehouse in Pennsylvania that's over 100 years old. The current firefighters have reported many spooky occurrences, such as doors slamming on their own and phantom footsteps echoing through the halls. The most terrifying occurrence involved a firefighter who heard a voice whisper his name, only to turn around and see no one.

The crew investigates the firehouse using a variety of tactics, such as leaving out trigger objects like old tools and toys. They also hold a séance to try to communicate with any available spirits. Through their extensive research of the firehouse's history, they learn of a deadly fire that occurred on the same block years ago - could this be the source of the paranormal activity?

As the episode progresses, Zaffis and the team encounter several chilling moments. They experience sudden temperature changes, listen to eerie electronic voice phenomena, and feel presences that could not be explained. Ultimately, they hope to figure out how to put the spirits to rest so that the people at the sanitarium and firehouse can go on with their everyday lives.
