Ep 5. Sailing Out on Oahu

Sailing Out on Oahu is the fifth episode of the fifth season of the popular TV series Hawaii Life. The episode follows the journey of a young couple, Jake and Allyson, as they search for their dream home in Oahu.

The couple, who are avid sailors, have always dreamed of owning a home that is close to the water and allows them easy access to their sailboat. Oahu, with its beautiful beaches and expansive ocean views, seems like the perfect place to find their dream home.

While the house meets all of their requirements, including a large garage for their sailboat, the couple feels that it lacks the breath-taking ocean views they were hoping for. They ultimately decide that they want to be closer to the water.

Shannon takes them to the third property, a stunning three-bedroom house in Hawaii Kai, a coveted neighborhood perched on the edge of the ocean. The house boasts an open-concept floor plan, high ceilings, and expansive windows that let in plenty of natural light. The couple is immediately drawn to the stunning views and the easy access to the water, but the price tag gives them pause.

As the couple weighs their options, Shannon takes them to the fourth property, a charming two-bedroom cottage located in Kailua, a laid-back beach town on the eastern side of the island. The cottage has a cozy, beachy feel that immediately puts the couple at ease, but its location away from the water dashes their hopes of being able to sail out from their backyard.

After a bit more discussion and reflection, the couple decides to make an offer on the third property in Hawaii Kai, knowing that it is the perfect place for them to live out their dream of sailing out into the ocean from their own backyard.

The episode ends with Jake and Allyson settling into their new home and taking their sailboat out for an idyllic afternoon on the water. They reflect on how fortunate they are to be able to live in such a stunning location and enjoy the lifestyle they've always dreamed of.
