Hellsing OVA is an anime television series based on the Hellsing manga created by Kouta Hirano. The show is a reboot of the original Hellsing anime series and follows the story of the manga more closely. It was produced by the animation studio Gonzo and directed by Tomokazu Tokoro.

The show revolves around the Hellsing Organization, a secret group tasked with protecting England from supernatural threats. The main character of the show is Alucard, a powerful vampire who serves the Hellsing organization. The show follows his interactions with the other members of the organization and his battles against various supernatural foes.

The animation style of the show is excellent, with solid character designs and fluid action sequences. The violence is gory and brutal, but it feels appropriate given the subject matter. It is clear that the show was made with a lot of love and care, and it shows in the quality of the animation.

One of the standout features of the show is the music. The soundtrack is composed by Hayato Matsuo and features a mix of orchestral pieces and hard rock. The music fits the tone of the show perfectly and adds to the overall atmosphere.

The voice acting in the show is top-notch as well. Crispin Freeman delivers an excellent performance as Alucard, capturing the character's cold, menacing demeanor perfectly. The rest of the cast is also fantastic, with each actor bringing their character to life in a way that feels authentic.

The story of the show is engaging and well-paced. It doesn't shy away from the darker elements of its subject matter, but it doesn't wallow in them either. There is a good balance of action, drama, and humor that keeps the show from feeling too bleak.

The characters in the show are well-written and fleshed out. Alucard, in particular, is a fascinating character with a rich backstory. His interactions with the other members of the Hellsing organization, particularly his protégé Seras Victoria, are some of the highlights of the show.

In conclusion, Hellsing OVA is an excellent anime series that is well worth watching for fans of the horror/action genre. It's a great adaptation of the manga and is sure to satisfy fans of the original series while also appealing to newcomers. The animation, music, and voice acting are all top-notch, and the story and characters are engaging and well-written. Highly recommended.
