Italy's clueless nature and tendency to get distracted adds a level of humor to the episode, as he unwittingly leads Japan into a confrontation with a group of hostile cowboys.

Back in the desert, America has stumbled upon a hidden bunker after taking a dip in a nearby pond. He is captured by Germany, who has already caught England in a trap. The fun really begins when America challenges Germany and England to a game of not-so-ancient football, with the winner walking away with America and bragging rights. The episode takes a light-hearted turn when the game begins, showcasing everyone's unique skills and personality traits.

Finally, the episode reaches its climax with the outcome of the game and the fate of America's freedom on the line. Hetalia manages to keep up the comedic tone until the very end, making the tension leading up to the game's outcome all the more satisfying. And despite the comedic moments throughout, the episode still manages to provide an accurate historical context in regards to the relationships between America, England, Germany, and France at the time.
