Ep 3. Kommandant of the Year

Hogan's Heroes is an American television sitcom set in a German prisoner-of-war camp during World War II. The show centers around the antics of Colonel Robert Hogan and his fellow Allied prisoners as they engage in various schemes to undermine the German war effort.

In season 1, episode 3, titled "Kommandant of the Year," Colonel Hogan and his men are tasked with sabotaging a prestigious award ceremony being held at the camp to honor the best Kommandant (commander) in the German Army. The winner of the award will be granted an all-expense-paid trip to Berlin, along with the distinction of being the best of the best.

With the help of the camp's French interpreter, Michelle Dubois, Hogan and his team devise a plan to switch the ballots used in the voting process so that the camp's bumbling and incompetent Kommandant, Wilhelm Klink, will win the award. Their hope is that the resulting celebration and distraction will give them the opportunity to complete a crucial mission to cripple the German war effort.

Complicating matters, Klink's commanding officer, Major Hochstetter, becomes suspicious of Hogan and his men and launches an investigation into their activities. Hogan must use all of his cunning and wit to outsmart Hochstetter and prevent his plan from falling apart.

As the ceremony approaches, tensions rise and the stakes become higher than ever before. Will Hogan and his team be able to pull off their plan and complete their mission, or will their efforts be thwarted by the tenacious Major Hochstetter? Tune in to "Kommandant of the Year" to find out.
