With everyone going their separate ways, Takemoto reflects on all the good times they had together, all the bittersweet memories that he has in his mind. And throughout all this, he wonders if he really had a place in Hagu's life.

When Hagu finally manages to speak to Takemoto seriously, Takemoto feels that everything may turn out ok. Meanwhile, Shinobu and his brother move in to take back their father's company. But when things seem at their best, they turn for the worst and something no one every imagined would happen, happens.

Tatsuo was once Tsukasa Morita's best friend. Together, they forged a small but comfortable company. But Tsukasa excelled at everything and his charisma was catching so that everyone ignored Tatsuo. Kaoru feels the same sense of being overshadowed by Shinobu as he retraces the steps of their past and betrayal.

As Shinobu falls asleep under the sun, he thinks back to his father and his father's company. Kaoru too, thinks back to that time and remembers the favoritism his father showed to Shinobu. Meanwhile, Hagu broods over how short life is and Yamada wonders if she'll ever get over Mayama. Takemoto, too, wonders about the future and if everyone's paths are destined to diverge.

Now that Rika has opened her heart up to Mayama, Yamada knows that Mayama is no longer a possibility. But for some reason, she can't let go of her precious feelings and they're crushing her little by little. Will Nomiya be her savior or will she push him away in order to hold onto her unrequited love for Mayama?

When Hagu pulls out a picture painted by Munch, Shuuji is reminded of the time Harada died and how both he and Rika suffered. Now that Mayama is in Rika's life and determined to stay there, how will he affect her, especially since Rika's equally determined to be with Harada?

When news of a project in Spain arrives at the Harada design, Rika reveals that it's a building she and Harada had been working on before he died. Rika then proceeds to shock Mayama by telling him she's going to Spain...and that he's coming too! Heartbroken, Yamada trudges though life, having no more energy to do anything. But she's forgotten one person and that person has driven 18 hours to see his princess.

How does one get rid of hiccups? When Hagu suddenly gets them, everyone around offers their pieces of advice, little bits of knowledge they gained from people in the past important to them. Meanwhile, Yamada gets closer to Rika to see just how important she is to Mayama, even though it may hurt her.

When did everything begin turning? When did it all begin and where does it go on? Takemoto explores what has happened thus far and how everything keeps revolving.

Takemoto finally reaches his destination: the farthest point in Japan. When he gets there he realizes his reasons for biking in the first place and turns around to go home. But when he gets home, everyone around him realizes...Takemoto has changed.

By sheer stroke of luck, Takemoto runs into one of Hanamoto-sensei's old students who offers him a job! But when everything seems to be looking up, Usui calls in saying his company is in ruins and therefore Takemoto has lost his job before he even got started. This is the last straw for Takemoto, who feels like his life has no meaning. And so, on a routine bike ride, he suddenly feels the urge to keep biking, to go somewhere. Thus his journey of self-realization begins.

Where did Rika get those wounds? What is Harada-sensei's connection to Rika? How does Mayama feel about Yamada falling in love with him? All these questions and more are answered when the group heads over to an amusement park and reflect on each other's pasts and current feelings.

When Takemoto's mother gets sick, Takemoto has no choice but to go back home. While there, he starts to think about the past, more specifically, his now dead father. But memories aren't the only thing Takemoto has to contend with. Now he has to face his mother's new husband, the strong and slightly awkward Kazuo.

Hagu can't stand being around people and Takemoto can't stand Christmas. When Hagu is confronted with a lot of people she doesn't know, she becomes ill and Takemoto wonders what life is like through Hagu's eyes. During the second half of the episode, Takemoto reflects on how he spent Christmas in the past, in a hospital where his mother barely had any time for him.

Who is it that can make Mayama run to her no matter what? This question has been on everyone's mind, especially Yamada, who may feel something more for Mayama than she let on. Meanwhile, Takemoto and Hagu grow closer and when Takemoto offers to make a clothes drawer for her dolls, she choses the hardest one to make; the Rococo style drawer. The Rococo thus proceeds to haunt Takemoto's dreams. Can he make it? Or will he break his promise to her?

Ever since the two first met, Morita has been harassing Hagu, making her pose for pictures, getting a model of her foot and scaring her all around. But when a mysterious person picks Morita up for another "job," the entire gang must postpone their party until he gets back. When he does get back, he brings a pair of pink mules, the ones Hagu has been yearning for. At first, Takemoto brushes it off, but when realization dawns, he feels the heartache of jealousy.

He is surprised by all the things around him, from the people to the art college he attends to his own feelings that seem to have burst out into the open from nowhere the instant he meets a girl named Hagumi Hanamoto; an eighteen year old art prodigy who looks as if she's 6 years old.
