Idolmaster Xenoglossia is a futuristic mecha anime that aired on AT-X in 2007. The anime is based on The Idolmaster video game series and features an entirely new storyline with new characters. The show follows Haruka Amami, a girl that dreams of becoming an idol, who finds herself in the middle of an intergalactic war that is fought with giant robots called Idols.

The story kicks off with the sudden appearance of a group of mechas, called Idols, that are piloted by a group of girls working for a company known as 961 Productions. These Idols are unlike any other mechas seen before as they can communicate with their pilots through a language known as Xenoglossia. The protagonist, Haruka Amami, is one of the girls chosen to pilot an Idol and becomes a part of the group.

However, things are not as simple as they seem, as the Idols have been created to fight against an alien race known as the WORMs that have been invading and taking over planets. The WORMs are a formidable enemy, and it takes all the skills of the Idol pilots to successfully take them down.

As the show progresses, the characters are faced with various challenges, not just in their battles against the WORMs but also within their own ranks. The 961 Productions company, that the girls work for, is not as benevolent as it seems and has its own agenda for the Idols. The story takes many twists and turns, as loyalties are tested and allegiances are forged, all in the backdrop of an intergalactic war that threatens humanity as we know it.

One of the unique aspects of Idolmaster Xenoglossia is the relationship between the girls and their Idols. The Idols are not just tools of war but embody their pilots as extensions of themselves, and their bond is critical to the success of the battles. The language of Xenoglossia plays a pivotal role in the development of the story and the characters, making it an essential aspect of the show.

The show boasts an impressive cast of voice actors, including Eri Kitamura, Mai Nakahara, Tomo Sakurai, Ami Koshimizu, Yui Horie, Kaori Shimizu, Nazuka Kaori, Yuka Iguchi, Tamura Yukari, Solty, Yukana, Mamiko Noto, Daisuke Ono, Mikako Takahashi, Ryouka Yuzuki, Takuma Takewaka, Akira Ishida, and Kazuhiro Nakata. The voice acting is top-notch, bringing the characters to life and making the audience invested in their struggles.

The animation is stunning, bringing the futuristic world to life. The mecha designs are unique and sleek, making them stand out from other mechas in anime. The fight scenes are well choreographed and visually exciting, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats.

Overall, Idolmaster Xenoglossia is an exciting and unique addition to the mecha anime genre. It combines elements of idol culture, futuristic technology, and intergalactic war, making for a thrilling ride. The show has compelling characters, an engaging plot, and stunning visual design, making it a must-watch for fans of mecha anime.
