Ep 20. The Despicable Thief Onigumo's Secret

Kagome and Inuyasha are on the search for the last shard of the Shikon Jewel. They come across a village that looks as if it has been attacked by bandits. They decide to investigate and find out that the villagers are being terrorized by someone named Onigumo. Onigumo is a criminal who has been stealing from the villagers, but what makes him truly despicable is how he treats them.

Kagome recognizes the name Onigumo as the same person who was burned badly and saved by Kikyo. This realization brings back painful memories for Inuyasha. He is haunted by Kikyo's death and how he failed to protect her. Kagome tries to comfort him, but he is too lost in his own thoughts.

As they continue investigating, they discover that Onigumo has been using a giant spider demon to do his bidding. They also find out that Onigumo is in love with Kikyo and has made a deal with a demon to give him the power to win her over. In exchange, the demon will take his body and become reborn.

Inuyasha and Kagome make a plan to take down the spider demon and confront Onigumo. During the confrontation, Inuyasha tries to reason with Onigumo and convince him to give up his evil ways. Onigumo refuses and unleashes the full power of the spider demon on the group.

Kagome uses her archery skills to shoot the spider demon with an arrow, which weakens it. Inuyasha takes advantage of this opportunity and attacks with his sword, the Tetsusaiga. The Tetsusaiga breaks the demon's barrier and destroys it.

Onigumo realizes that his plan has failed and runs away. Inuyasha chases after him and the two engage in a battle. Inuyasha is able to defeat Onigumo and he falls unconscious. Kagome and Inuyasha tie him up and bring him back to the village.

Back in the village, Onigumo reveals his true identity to the group. He is actually Naraku, a powerful demon who has been manipulating events to get what he wants. Kagome and Inuyasha are shocked by this revelation. Naraku explains that he needed the shards of the Shikon Jewel to become even more powerful.

Inuyasha is enraged by Naraku's betrayal and attacks him again. This time, Naraku reveals his true form and tries to kill Inuyasha. Kagome tells Inuyasha to use the Tetsusaiga's new attack, the Wind Scar, which he learned in a previous episode.

The Wind Scar is able to destroy Naraku's body, but he escapes by using a piece of his essence. Inuyasha and Kagome realize that they will have to fight Naraku again in the future.

The episode ends with the group reflecting on what happened and wondering what Naraku's next move will be. Inuyasha is left thinking about Kikyo and how Naraku has been manipulating them all along. The group continues their journey to find the remaining shards of the Shikon Jewel.
