Ep 4. The Hair Demon, Yura

Kagome, Inuyasha, and Shippo travel to a village to investigate a demon that has been attacking women and stealing their hair. Upon arrival, they are greeted warmly by the village chief and his daughter, who informs them that her mother fell victim to the demon's attack.

As they begin to search for clues about the demon's whereabouts, Kagome and Shippo encounter another young woman who has also been attacked, but her hair was not taken. She tells them that she saw the demon and describes it as a beautiful woman with long hair.

Meanwhile, Inuyasha is ambushed by the demon, who attempts to attack him with her hair. Inuyasha is able to fight her off, but not before being injured. Kagome and Shippo come to his aid, but the demon manages to escape.

The trio decides to split up and search for the demon. Kagome and Shippo come across a cave where they believe the demon is hiding, but instead find a group of bandits who have been stealing the women's hair to sell for profit. Inuyasha arrives to help defeat the bandits, but the demon Yura appears once again. Inuyasha fights her off and the group learns that Yura is actually a demon made entirely of hair.

After a difficult battle, Inuyasha is able to defeat Yura, but not before sustaining even more injuries. The village chief's daughter offers to help Inuyasha by performing a ritual that will heal his wounds.

In the end, the group bids farewell to the villagers and continues their journey to find the jewel shards. Inuyasha, however, is left with a reminder of his battle with Yura in the form of several strands of her hair tangled in his own.
