Ep 1. Menace to High Society

In "Menace to High Society," the first episode of the third season of It's Me or the Dog, host Victoria Stilwell travels to a well-to-do neighborhood in Los Angeles to meet with a couple whose beloved Bullmastiff has become a problem in their high-society social circle.

The couple, Peter and Nancy, are eager to please their friends, who are growing increasingly concerned about the dog's behavior. Their Bullmastiff, aptly named Hercules, is a big, lovable dog, but he has a habit of jumping up on people and knocking them over. He also has a tendency to bark loudly and incessantly, which can be very disruptive in social situations.

Peter and Nancy feel embarrassed and frustrated by Hercules' behavior, and they are desperate for Victoria to help them get him under control so that they can continue to be a part of their elite social group.

When Victoria arrives, she immediately notices that Hercules is quite overweight and out of shape. She explains to Peter and Nancy that this is likely contributing to his unruly behavior, as he has pent-up energy that he needs to burn off.

Victoria spends some time observing Hercules and working with him one-on-one to see where his specific issues lie. She discovers that he responds well to positive reinforcement and rewards, but that he also needs clear boundaries and rules in order to thrive.

Over the course of the episode, Victoria works with Peter and Nancy to establish consistent training routines and to help Hercules lose weight and build up his physical fitness. She also teaches them strategies for managing his behavior in social situations, like redirecting his attention with toys and treats and teaching him to "stay" and "down" on command.

Through her patient and compassionate approach, Victoria is able to help Peter and Nancy see Hercules in a new light. They realize that he is a loving and loyal dog who just needs some guidance and structure in order to be the best version of himself.

In the end, they are able to successfully integrate Hercules back into their social group, and they even host a large party at their home to celebrate. Hercules proves to be a wonderful, well-behaved party guest, and Peter and Nancy are thrilled to be able to enjoy his company in the company of their friends once again.
