The episode "Jeeves in the Country" is the fourth episode of the second season of the British television series Jeeves and Wooster. The show is based on the characters created by renowned author P.G. Wodehouse.

The episode opens with Bertie Wooster (played by Hugh Laurie) and his valet Jeeves (played by Stephen Fry) discussing their plans for the upcoming weekend. Jeeves suggests that Bertie should go out of town for a few days to avoid the hustle and bustle of London. Bertie, however, is not keen on the idea of leaving the city.

Despite Bertie's reluctance, Jeeves manages to convince him to go for a weekend trip to the countryside. The duo sets out for the country, where they plan to stay at a friend's estate.

As soon as they arrive, they become entangled in a number of comical situations. One of the first things they learn is that the friend they were supposed to stay with is out of town, leaving them to fend for themselves.

While in the countryside, Bertie meets an old flame, Florence Craye (played by Maria Aitken). The two have a history, and it quickly becomes apparent that their relationship is still a bit rocky. Florence is engaged to a local lord, but she seems to have unresolved feelings for Bertie.

Bertie tries his best to avoid getting caught up in the drama, but he is soon drawn into the love triangle between Florence and her fiancé, as well as Florence's younger sister, Madeline (played by Elizabeth Morton).

As always, Jeeves is there to help Bertie navigate the tricky situation. He suggests that Bertie should pretend to be a suitor for Madeline, in order to make Florence jealous and hopefully put an end to her advances towards Bertie. Despite the fact that he would rather stay out of the drama, Bertie agrees to the plan.

The plan works, but not without a few hiccups along the way. Bertie manages to upset Madeline, and Jeeves has to step in to smooth things over. Meanwhile, Florence's fiancé becomes suspicious of Bertie's intentions, leading to a confrontation between the two.

Despite the chaos, in the end, everything works out for the best. Bertie manages to avoid getting caught up in any serious trouble, and Jeeves once again shows his skill in handling any and all situations that come their way.

Overall, "Jeeves in the Country" is a classic episode of Jeeves and Wooster, filled with hijinks, misunderstandings, and plenty of British humor. Fans of the series are sure to enjoy this installment, as Bertie and Jeeves prove once again that they are one of the most entertaining comedic duos in British television history.
