The Situation of 'Jersey Shore' Lands Six-Figure Deal to Peddle...Tuxedos?!

The Situation of 'Jersey Shore' Lands Six-Figure Deal to Peddle...Tuxedos?! When one thinks of tuxedos, one thinks of class, style, and sophistication. When one thinks of Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, one thinks of none of these things.

That's why it's a bit shocking to hear that the "Jersey Shore" star has been hired by a tuxedo company as their spokesman. No, seriously, these guys want Sitch to peddle tuxes for them! Yeah, I don't know what they're smoking either.

The company, called FLOW Formal, has signed The Situation to a six-figure deal, according to THR.

The idea is to market tuxes to a younger crowd...as FLOW Formal CEO Brian Weintraub puts it, tuxes have become "an old man thing." I would argue that tuxedos are less about younger people not wanting to wear them and more about younger people not having an occasion to. How many black-tie affairs do you see teens and 20-somethings going to? There's weddings, and that's about it.

The line, which will be called "The Situation" (natch), is due out early next year, likely right around the time that season 5 of "Jersey Shore" is in full swing.

How about it, would you buy a tux from Sitch? My guess is that the intersection of "Jersey Shore" fans and people who wear tuxes on regular occasions is a slim one, but I would love to be proven wrong. Because that would be hilarious.
