The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius is a computer-animated comedy that airs on Nickelodeon and is geared toward an audience of children. The show is a spin-off of an unexpectedly popular film by Nickelodeon known as Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius. The show aired from 2002 to 2006. It stopped being produced when one of the companies responsible for creating it closed down.

Jimmy Neutron is a ten-year-old boy with an intelligence quotient of 210. He excels at all things intellectual and is a brilliant inventor. He spends most of his time with his two best friends. One is an asthmatic boy named Carl Wheezer. Carl is a bit of a klutz and has a crush on Jimmy's mom, to comedic effect. Jimmy's other best friend is Sheen, who is spacey, hyperactive and an Ultra Lord fan. Sheen was a popular enough character to get his own spin-off.

Most of the show's plots follow some danger to Jimmy, his friends, his family or the town of Retroville. In response to these threats, Jimmy builds inventions or uses inventions he has on hand to fight back. In many cases, this does not end well for Jimmy or his family, as his inventions often wind up in the wrong hands. Nonetheless, Jimmy nearly always prevails, though he does have some pitfalls along the way, mostly involving his secret crush Cindy.

Jimmy Neutron has several helpers in his battles to save just about everyone on the show. These helpers include his friends, Cindy, his parents, his teachers and the secret agent Jet Fusion. He also has several common enemies, the most frequent of which is Professor Calamitous. Calamitous' daughter Beautiful Gorgeous and King Goobot V are also Jimmy's enemies. These characters can often be seen locked in battle with Jimmy.
