Jumanji was a popular adventure fantasy television series that aired on UPN from 1996 to 1999. The show was based on the blockbuster movie Jumanji, which was released in 1995. The series was created by Greg Beeman and loosely followed the story and characters from the movie.

The show followed the adventures of Judy (Ashley Johnson) and Peter (Bill Fagerbakke) who discover a board game called Jumanji in the attic of their house. As they play the game, they are sucked into its world, where they must face various dangers and challenges to win the game and return to their normal lives. The duo is joined by Alan Parrish (Bill Sanderson), a man who had been trapped in the game for 25 years, and whose release from the game leads to the return of other dangerous creatures to the real world.

Judy and Peter's journey through the game world is fraught with peril and adventure. They meet various characters in the game, some of whom help them, and others who try to harm them. Along the way, they encounter giant spiders, stampeding rhinos, hungry lions, and other deadly creatures. The stakes are high, and the kids have to think strategically and work together to survive.

The show's animation is top-notch, and the Jumanji game world is beautifully realized. The show's creators used a mix of 2D and 3D animation to create the world, which is full of lush forests, dangerous swamps, and treacherous mountain ranges. The creatures in the show are all expertly animated, and their movements and behaviors are realistic and menacing.

The voice acting in the show is top-notch, with all the main characters bringing their A-game to their performances. Ashely Johnson and Bill Fagerbakke are excellent as the intrepid duo of Judy and Peter, and they bring a lot of heart and humor to their roles. William Sanderson is superb as Alan Parrish, the man who had been trapped in the game for 25 years, and who now helps the kids navigate the perilous game world.

Other standout voice actors in the show include Danny Mann, who provides the voice of T.V. repairman and would-be hero Carl Bentley, and Tim Curry, who portrays the evil villain Van Pelt. Curry is particularly excellent in his role, bringing a lot of menace and theatricality to his performance.

The show's writing is also top-notch, and the writers do an excellent job of creating a compelling narrative that keeps viewers engaged throughout. The show is fast-paced, with plenty of action and adventure, but it also has a lot of heart. The relationship between Judy, Peter, and Alan is particularly well handled, and the show does an excellent job of exploring their dynamic as they work together to survive in the game world.

Overall, Jumanji is an excellent television series that captures the spirit of the original movie while adding its own unique twists and turns. The show is full of adventure, danger, and heart, and it is a must-watch for anyone who loves great animation and compelling storytelling.

Jumanji is a series that is currently running and has 3 seasons (40 episodes). The series first aired on September 8, 1996.
