Jumong is a historical drama that is set in ancient Korea and chronicles the life of Jumong, the founder of the Goguryeo Kingdom. The show is a mix of political intrigue and personal relationships that kept all the viewers hooked. In the seventeenth episode, titled "Jumong 17," the drama continues to unfold as the characters face new challenges and battles.

In the previous episode, Yuri won the competition and became the new leader of the Saryulsu, much to So Seo No's delight. So Seo No is ecstatic, but her joy is short-lived as she and Yuri discover that the Saryulsu people are being used by the Han nation to spy on the Buyeo palace as well as scout for them - to launch a possible attack.

In this episode, King Geumwa learns that Goguryeo troops are headed towards Buyeo Palace. He offers to help his son, Jumong, to repel the attack, which he happily accepts. Along with his father's troops, Jumong takes his own men, too, to meet the Goguryeo army and prepare for war with hopes of repelling the attack and defending the palace.

As the battle ensues, Jumong and Oi bet their lives to capture two lead soldiers of the Goguryeo army. They are eventually successful, and Jumong gains information about Goguryeo's forte. It turns out that the Goguryeo army leads their attack with a group of archers. Jumong's quick thinking and strategy will prove crucial in the upcoming battles.

Meanwhile, King Geumwa, who is busy leading the defense of Buyeo Palace, learns that the Goguryeo army is led by Ye Soya, who is accompanying Prince Youngpo. King Geumwa is surprised to see Ye Soya as she had disappeared years ago. He is also worried about his son, Youngpo, who is reckless and lacks experience.

The show boasts some exciting action scenes, particularly in the battle sequences. Jumong's battle scenes are perfectly choreographed and are a highlight of the show. The show has an impressive cast, and their acting is really well done, particularly Song Il-gook, who brings to life Jumong with his excellent portrayal.

Throughout the show, there are a lot of twists and turns, and it keeps the audience on edge. Jumong continues to evolve and become a more significant leader and player in the political scene. He is brave, intelligent, and compassionate - all qualities that make him an amazing leader.

Finally, the episode ends with a cliffhanger ending, where Ye Soya is seen pointing her arrow at King Geumwa. What will happen to him? What will happen to Buyeo Palace? The audience is left asking more questions, and they will need to tune into the next episode to find out.

In conclusion, Jumong's seventeenth episode is a thrilling and action-packed installment with many nerve-wracking battles and political machinations that kept the viewers on edge. As the characters face new challenges, their strength and skill are put to the test time and time again. It's an excellent historical drama that never fails to disappoint, and audiences should continue to tune in to find out what Jumong will do next.
