On this episode of Justice League season 5, titled "Shadow of the Hawk", the team is called to action when an ancient curse is activated, turning Carter Hall - also known as Hawkman - into a crazed warrior willing to kill anyone who gets in his way.

The episode starts with Hawkman, a member of the Justice League, discovering a strange artifact in a tomb while on an archaeological expedition. When he touches the artifact, he is immediately transported back in time to ancient Egypt, where he witnesses himself and a woman - who appears to be his lover - being cursed by the god Anubis. The curse states that Hawkman and his lover will die every time they are reborn, and that they will live countless lives only to suffer and die over and over again.

Back in the present, Hawkman is found by his fellow Justice League members as a crazed warrior, attacking everything and everyone around him. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, and Green Lantern work together to try and stop him, but they quickly discover that he is almost indestructible and seemingly unstoppable. It soon becomes clear that Hawkman is under the influence of the curse he witnessed in ancient Egypt, and that the only way to save him is to break the curse.

This leads the Justice League on a mission to travel back in time to ancient Egypt, where they hope to find a way to break the curse and save Hawkman. Along the way, they face dangerous obstacles and challenges, including facing off against Anubis himself. The team also learns more about Carter Hall's past lives and the curse that has plagued him and his lover for centuries.

As they work to break the curse, the team also has to deal with internal conflict. Carter Hall's lover, Shayera Hol - also known as Hawkgirl - is struggling with feelings of guilt and responsibility for the curse, and tensions between her and the rest of the team escalate. The episode explores the complex relationships between the Justice League members and their personal struggles, as well as their dedication to saving their friend and fellow superhero.

Overall, "Shadow of the Hawk" is an intense and action-packed episode that delves deeper into the mythology and personal lives of the Justice League. It offers a compelling storyline and strong character development, while keeping the audience on the edge of their seats with thrilling fight scenes and high-stakes adventure.
