Jyu Oh Sei is a 2006 Japanese anime television series produced by Bones and premiered on Fuji TV. The show revolves around the story of a mysterious planet called Chimera, which is known for its harsh environment and extreme weather conditions. The show follows the life of a young boy named Thor who is sent to Chimera and must navigate through the rough terrain while uncovering the secrets of the planet.

The show features a talented cast of voice actors that bring the characters to life. Shun Oguri voices Thor, the main protagonist, while his best friend, Zagi, is voiced by Kazuya Nakai. Koichi Domoto voices Tiz, the leader of a group of survivors on the planet. The female leads are voiced by Minami Takayama and Romi Paku, who play siblings named Karim and Zagi, respectively. Nana Mizuki voices Second, a member of the same group as Thor.

The story begins with Thor and his twin brother, Rai, living a peaceful life on a space station orbiting Earth. However, one day, Rai is murdered, and Thor is framed for the crime. He is then sent to Chimera, where he is forced to live with other prisoners who have been abandoned on the planet. Thor realizes that he must learn to survive on his own and must eventually become the leader of the group to protect them from the dangers that lie ahead.

The first half of the series focuses on Thor's survival on Chimera and his relationships with the other survivors. During his journey, Thor learns about the planet's history and uncovers the secrets of the mysterious "Beasts," giant creatures that roam the planet's surface. He also learns about the "World Tree," a massive tree at the center of Chimera that holds the key to his survival.

The second half of the show takes a darker turn, and the story becomes more focused on the political intrigue between the different factions on Chimera. Tiz, the leader of the survivors, becomes embroiled in a power struggle with other factions on the planet, including a group that seeks to control the World Tree's power. Thor becomes entangled in this conflict and must find a way to uphold his values while surviving in a harsh and unforgiving world.

One of the highlights of the show is the animation, which is beautiful and vividly depicts the harsh landscape of Chimera. The characters are also well-designed and memorable, with each having their unique personalities and motivations. The show also features a great soundtrack that helps set the tone for the different scenes.

Overall, Jyu Oh Sei is an excellent anime that tells a compelling story with engaging characters and a beautiful visual style. The show manages to balance the action, politics, and character development well, making it a must-watch for fans of the sci-fi and action genres.
