Karneval is an anime series that premiered in 2013. It is an adaptation of the shoujo manga series of the same name by Touya Mikanagi. The anime is produced by studio Manglobe and consists of 13-episodes. The story of Karneval revolves around the lives of a young boy named Nai and a thief named Gareki. The two meet each other by chance when Gareki is trying to break into a mansion. Nai is found hiding in a box in the mansion and the two end up being chased by the mansion’s security. They manage to escape and end up on a journey together.

Their journey leads them to an organization known as Circus, which seems to have some connection to Nai. Circus is a secret government agency that is responsible for protecting the country and its people from threats that are beyond the capabilities of regular agencies. However, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows at Circus, as there seem to be some dark secrets lurking within the organization.

The series follows the journey of Nai and Gareki as they become involved with Circus and get to know its members. Along the way, they encounter a vast array of characters, each with their own unique abilities and personalities.

The main characters of the series are Nai, Gareki, Yogi, and Tsukumo. Nai is a small boy who seems to have some special abilities. He is innocent and naive but has a strong desire to find someone important to him. Gareki is a thief who has had a tough life, and as such, he has a cynical and suspicious personality. He is initially reluctant to become involved with Circus but ends up getting caught up in the organization’s affairs.

Yogi and Tsukumo are two members of Circus who become friends with Nai and Gareki. Yogi is a cheerful and carefree guy who enjoys making others laugh. He has the ability to control the flow of air and can use it to fly. Tsukumo, on the other hand, is a serious and reserved girl who is skilled in hand-to-hand combat. She has the ability to create blades of energy and manipulate them at will.

As the series progresses, the plot becomes more complex, and the true nature of Circus is revealed. The organization is not as benevolent as it seems and has been involved in some dark activities. Nai’s past is also revealed, and his connection to Circus becomes clearer.

The animation and visual style of Karneval are excellent. The characters are well-designed and have distinct looks that make them easily recognizable. The action sequences are well-animated and are a joy to watch. The backgrounds are also well-detailed and add to the overall atmosphere of the series.

The soundtrack of the series is also noteworthy. The opening theme, “Henai no Rondo” by GRANRODEO, is an energetic and catchy song that fits the series well. The ending theme, “REASON” by KAmiYU, is a more mellow and emotional song that perfectly captures the feelings of the characters.

Overall, Karneval is an enjoyable series that blends action, adventure, and mystery into an entertaining package. The characters are interesting and likable, and the plot keeps you guessing until the end. The animation and soundtrack are top-notch, making for a visually stunning experience.

Karneval is a series that is currently running and has 1 seasons (13 episodes). The series first aired on April 8, 2013.
