Khloe & Lamar is a reality television show, primarily broadcast in North America. The series is the third installment after the Keeping Up with the Kardashians series, featuring entrepreneur, Khloe Kardashian Odom and her husband, well-known basketball player, Lamar Odom.

Khloe Kardashian Odom is the youngest of the Kardashian sisters and the first to be married, after a 30 day courtship. The televised wedding ceremony featured many celebrities and was widely watched across the nation. In contrast, Kourtney has one child and one on the way with long-term boyfriend, Scott Disick. Kim has been married two times, one of which famously only lasted 72 days to basketball player Kris Humphries.

The show follows Lamar as he navigates his basketball career and Khloe managers her careers involving being a co-spokesperson, along with sister Kim, for the Quick Trim diet product; PETA supporter and helping run one of the many family businesses, the DASH clothing line and stores.

Lamar Odom talks about his very different upbringing to Khloe's on the show from time to time, when he lived in South Jamaica in Queens. He lost his mother to cancer at just 12 yeas old and until recently, has been estranged from his father. Lamar became a high school basketball star and won a college scholarship, after which it was lost over a scandal involving the SATs. His talent prevailed, and he was later drafted to the Clippers when he was 19 years old. Traded to the Miami Heat for the U.S. Olympic team, he wound up back with the L.A. Lakers, winning three championships. He also manages a record label, clothing line and Cathy's Kids charity.

Khloe & Lamar regularly deal with issues concerning their families, as they create a new life in Dallas, where Lamar has been drafted to play basketball with the Mavericks.

The main cast also features Rob Kardashian, Khloe's younger brother, who also once live with the couple; Malika Haqq, best friend, assistant and actress; Khloe's sisters, Kourtney and Kim, the most high-profile and famous of the Kardashians. The supporting cast includes Lamar's best friend, Jamie Sangouthai who is also a neighbor. In addition, the rest of the Kardashian family appear from time to time.

Khloe & Lamar debuted on the E! cable channel on April 10, 2011. The spin off series was renewed for a second and third season as of October 9, 2011, returning on February 19, 2012.

HBO's "24/7" specials before major boxing bouts, the UFC's flagship "The Ultimate Fighter" and the car-wreck that is the various "Wives" series on VH1 aside, it isn't often that big sports news impacts reality television. In this case, it could be quite the shift. The NBA has confirmed that Lakers forward Lamar Odom's trade to the Dallas Mavericks is indeed a done-deal. It's really not that much closer than where the couple had initially thought they'd be moving: Odom was originally to be dealt to the New Orleans Hornets as part of a three-team deal that also involved Lakers teammate Pau Gasol and superstar free-agent-to-be New Orleans guard Chris Paul.
