Kiba is an exciting anime series that aired on TV Tokyo starting in 2006. The story of Kiba is set in a fictional world named "Zed", which is divided into two warring kingdoms: "Neotopia" and "Torrado". The two factions are constantly at odds with each other, with each side vying for power and control over the other. The main protagonists of the show are two teenage boys -Zed and Noah- who live in Neotopia. They are both bored with their current life and looking for something more exciting.

One day, they both stumble upon a mysterious portal that takes them to the world of Zed, where they discover that each of them has been chosen as a "selector". A selector is a person who can control a powerful spirit beast known as a "Zoid". But, in order to use their powers to their fullest potential, they must learn how to properly control and communicate with their Zoids.

With the help of their newfound friends, including a young girl named Roia and a mysterious warrior known as "Crux", Zed and Noah must embark on a dangerous journey to unlock the true potential of their Zoids and help restore peace to the troubled world of Zed. Their journey is not an easy one, as they must face numerous dangers, powerful enemies and difficult challenges along the way. But, through their courage and determination, they slowly begin to uncover the secrets of the Zoids and the true nature of their powers.

Kiba is an action-packed anime series that combines elements of traditional fantasy and science fiction. It has a unique storyline, with interesting characters and a richly detailed, imaginative world. The animation quality is top-notch, with beautifully designed Zoids and detailed backgrounds that really bring the world of Zed to life.

One of the highlights of the show is the cast of characters. Each character is unique, with their own strengths, weaknesses, and personal stories. Tusker summons himself, and then Amir Gaul sucks Zed INTO Tusker. Now Tusker is complete. He orders all the spirits of the world to come to his aid, and help him destroy the world humans have built, and build in its place a world of spirits only. The spirits heed the call, and begin wreaking havoc everywhere.

50. Eternity

March 18, 2007

Noah and Zed begin their showdown. Noah wins and gets the Amir Gaul key spirit. Now he has all six, and thinks he has become the true savior who will control Tusker. He's vomiting power and blood in a matter of seconds. Out comes Tusker!

The Templar Council hears of a great energy released in Tusk, and Zico and Roya go to check it out. They find Zed and he explains the situation to them. Sara is in the area and Zed tries to get through to her once more. She's terribly weakened, and he begs her to give up on Amir Gaul.

48. Advent

March 4, 2007

So now Mirred has Tusker, which is bad for her life expectancy, and Zed, Gitra, and Noah have to try to figure out how to save Mirred and their spirits. Noah tries to explain to Zed AGAIN how their friendship is over. Zed doesn't get it this time any more than he did the other 200 times.

47. Perplexed Savior

February 25, 2007

Zed figures out that Mr. Mysterious is Noah. Xeem uses the pointless Zed/Noah fight that ensues to take Shadin and Amir Gaul. Noah prattles on for a while about how without Absolute Law, he needs some kind of absolute strength to support him, and therefore has chosen to gather all the key spirits and become God. He claims to not even care about Sagiri anymore.

46. To the Ground of Decision

February 18, 2007

Sagiri gives Zed her key spirit in exchange for his promise to find Noah and stop the fighting. All the Tuskans are crazy. Roya has become a nurse. Mirred's escape is part comic and part soap opera. Eventually Zed, Mirred, Gitra, and Dukeham are all in one place fighting.

45. The Confined Girl

February 11, 2007

Xeem arrives in Templar and attacks everybody, interrupting Zed before he gives the AG shard to his mom. Xeem gets Pronimo and Monadi and goes after Amir Gaul. The Seekers arrive in time to disrupt things, but Sara is missing. Zed figures out that the Seekers know all about Sara, and he goes with them in their jellyfishin' airship to find it all out.

44. Unsolved Spell

February 4, 2007

Sagiri's spirit chases off Sara for now. Zico tells Zed that she is so obssessed with Amir Gaul that she will not hesitate to kill him. Zed insists on going after her anyway, so Zico uses force to stop him.

43. Revealed Truth

January 28, 2007

Sara is overwhelmed by the power of her key spirit and runs off. Zed forces Zico to tell him the truth about what happened between them. Zico explains that he lusted after power in the uncertainty of their warring times, and had many people attempt to use Amir Gaul. AG rejected them all, and they all died. Finally the Amir Gaul statue showed them a vision of Sara, and he was sure they had found The One.

42. Little Saviour

January 21, 2007

The Seekers hold an initiation ceremony for Sagiri where she receives a key spirit. She decides to use it to go find Noah, and sneaks out of the Seekers compound. She finds her way to Templar looking for Zed and Roya. Instead, of course, the Council interrogates her about the Seekers, since they are a secretive race about which little is known?even where they live is a mystery.

41. Captured Thoughts

January 14, 2007

Ulvarx has already been captured. Zed, Roya, and Ginga attempt to fight off the Tuskans and capture it back. Roya is slightly injured in the process, and we see that Ginga's affection for her is largely because she looks so much like a girl he loved but was unable to save from Dukeham back in the day.

40. Aimed Power

January 7, 2007

We see that Elmeida is actually a Tusk agent that Xeem assigned to keep tabs on Hugh. Now Xeem orders her to find Pronimo. While everyone else was off fighting the Neotopia war, Mickey apparently expanded his bread business and now has two locations. The Tuskan elders decide to go to war with Ulvarx to get their elite tech.

39. The Awakening

December 24, 2006

Zed stabs Hugh and kills him, except it turns out that Hugh was a fake Hugh. The real Hugh captures Zed and then offers Hyrum an ultimatum: kill the hostages yourself and live for another few hours, or I'll kill you now myself. Hyrum takes the sword he is offered and runs himself through with it.

38. An Endless Fight

December 17, 2006

Unlike Hyrum, Zico is a nice guy. Therefore, Zico skips out of jail and comes to defend Hyrum from Hugh. All the major Templar & Neotopian players join forces with Hyrum and make an escape to the statue, where Hyrum reveals that a key spirit lies buried. He refuses to evacuate the Neotopian survivors to Templar and instead tells Noah he has to get this second key spirit and then save the nation.

37. The Fall of the Capital

December 10, 2006

The fight against Ex Machina heats up, with Ex Machina sucking in the spirit energy of its victims. The three key spirits combined are no match for it. More people die than you can count. Only problem is, someone forgot to tell Ex Machina what happens to people who try to absorb Amir Gaul.

Sagiri meets up with Zed, so she's safe. Ginga chases after Helic and tries to bring him back.

35. The One Who Becomes the Sacrifice

November 26, 2006

War continues; Hugh remains bonkers. Sagiri's beastman savior is dying, and Sagiri feeds him water and plays the harmonica for him to make him happy. He dies a good death.

34. The Rise Of The Flame Of War

November 19, 2006

Noah and Zed now temporarily join forces to battle off some Zymot spirits. And Noah unthinkingly saves Zed's life during the course of events! Silly Noah. War has broken out and everybody is basically mad at everybody else, including people on the same side.

33. The Lost Light

November 12, 2006

Roya and Zico are infuriated to find out that Templar's ruling council will not defend Zed. Even worse, the Council moves to have Zico imprisoned to keep him from causing any trouble between Templar and Neotopia. In Neotopia, preparations continue for the Foundation Day ceremony, while elsewhere Zed learns about the history and origins of Ulvarx from Helic.

32. Thought of nation

November 5, 2006

Zed and the gang are out for some grinds at the cafe when Zed passes out and has apparently lost Amir Gaul. It turns out that even though he's got the A.G. spirit shard back now, he can't feel the spirit's presence.

31. Compensation of ambition

October 29, 2006

All is not well in Zymot. After escaping from the Joust competition, Hugh is physically drained and upset that he was rejected by the spirit shards. He is so upset that he is now batshit crazy instead of cool and calculating. He demonstrates this to Nudyu by choking him and electrocuting him all at once, then tossing him aside like a rag doll.

30. Confrontation

October 22, 2006

Zed awakens in the infirmary only to discover his missing shards. Meanwhile, Noah gets down with the angst over his imperfect fight with Zed. Hugh, disguised as a Tuskan representative mops the floor with Helic and wins the following round against Robes by default, as the master playboy is off drinking and playing cards with some girls.

29. The Friendship That Slipped By

October 15, 2006

Finally, the fated Joust match between Zed and Noah. Zed refuses to fight seriously because he can't quite forget their friendship. Noah tells him he's weak; they never had a friendship. He accuses Zed of only being friendly out of pity, and says he always hated Zed.

28. The Proof of Existence

October 8, 2006

Noah and Zed are facing off over the dumbass arrest of Roya. Noah feels this is an important fight which can test his own strength. Zed feels this is a dumbass fight he doesn't have time for, so he slips away and goes after Roya.

27. Senshitachi Warriors

October 1, 2006

Zed's won his first round and so has Noah. Time for Roya's battle. She's pretty outmatched and all upset because she can't do anything right. Then she decides that she has to "move forward to find a place to belong," and suddenly has the power to defeat her Neotopian opponent.

26. Lonely Memories

September 24, 2006

Flashback of Noah's entire story arc to date. Ends with him concluding that his current path is the obviously correct one. He vows to win the Joust and show this path to everyone.

25. Prologue to the Battle

September 17, 2006

Zed has finally been summoned to Neotopia, where an international Joust is to take place. Robes will therefore be accompanying him. Neither really wants to be in the Joust, but Zed wants to see Noah and is getting impatient.

24. The Yellow Shadow of Happiness

September 10, 2006

Robes saves one of his own maids from a gang of extortionist moneylenders, but he doesn't recognize her. However, the gang people totally know where she lives, so they go suing for money. Robes's secretary tells them he'll give them an awesome shard that brings his bearer happiness.

23. Bonds

September 3, 2006

Cloud and Zed save Roya from a murderous Despara, and Cloud tells Roya the Despara/Jesara situation. Then it's out of the frying pan and into the fire as Norman discovers she's the escaped sacrificial victim and turns her over to the government.

22. The Maze of Memories

August 27, 2006

A powerful shardcasting teen named Ginga helps Roya out when she's surrounded. But he gets a bit fresh with her, so she slaps him and leaves to search for her parents. On the way, Despara finds her and tries to assassinate her (again) on Moloch's order, calling her ?someone who is supposed to be dead.

21. Feelings That Won't Be Wiped Away

August 20, 2006

Roya discovered a horn on her shoulder, so now she knows that she has Tusk blood. She's confused and depressed. In fact, she's depressed AND lonely, because no one will talk to her about it.

20. Reunion

August 13, 2006

Roya has been kidnapped, and now we see that a Tusk tribe is planning to offer her as a sacrifice. Keith and Zed set out to save her.

19. The Land of Darkness

August 6, 2006

Zed is sad about Rebecca's death, and also concerned about the whole "key spirit" thing Hugh mentioned. In bigger news...Keith is alive?! He was in jail in Neotopia, but escaped into Templar.

18. The Prayer That Doesn't Die Out

The Kalb-Hu god goes on a rampage, and destroys not only the Zymot soldiers but the land itself. Then it eats Pronimo, the spirit Hugh took from Rebecca, and the two combine into the perfected form of Pronimo.

17. A Wish Beyond Reach

July 23, 2006

Rebecca overcomes the Kalb-Hu people's resistance to fighting, and convinces them to battle with Zymot. The war is on in earnest. There are significant casualties, and she shows herself to be even more of a changed person.

16. Tragedy of a Race

July 16, 2006

Something is happening in Kalb-Hu, the land of those who were enslaved/imprisoned by Zymot. Those people saved Rebecca, and now she is fighting for their sakes. She sends a messenger to get Zed and bring him to her. Zico and Sebastian forbid Roya and Zed from going, but of course they sneak out anyway.

15. Small Treasure

July 9, 2006

Mickey, lost to insanity, battles Zed and Roya. When he comes back to himself, he drops the fight and runs away to be scared and confused. He's basically a split personality now. But Robes says this is Mickey's fault, not a problem with the spirit shard.

14. Temptation of Power

July 2, 2006

Roya and Zed go back to Mickey's house. Roya lies to Mickey and says Dumas redeemed himself at the end by saving them. They decide to sell bread together to make money. Zed asks Zico to explain to him what the heck is up with Amir Gaul, because he's realized it's different than all the other spirits.

Elda, Roya, and Rebecca run off to get Zed. We discover that Hugh has kept Bakkam (the king he "killed") alive, at least in body, all this time.

12. The Advance Towards Truth

Rebecca is stunned and nonplussed by Hugh's order to marry Dumas, whom she doesn't even know. She tries to run away, but fails. Robes and Roya talk about how Roya is in love with Zed. Elda takes Zed to a place of trials so he can get fancy new power and rescue the princess.

11. Premonition of Conspiracy

Hugh successfully kidnaps Rebecca. We discover that Hugh killed the previous king using Rebecca as his puppet. His goal was to steal the king's spirit shard, but he sealed it inside Rebecca as his last act. She tries to kill herself in order to keep it from Hugh, but it protects her, refusing to let her do so.

10. The Lonely Princess

June 4, 2006

Rebecca's loyal retainers greet her on their arrival in Zymot. The anti-government rebels are overjoyed that she's back. Rebecca begs Zed for help overturning their current government, and Zed refuses until she reveals that she knows who his spirit is.

9. After the Fight

May 28, 2006

The war is on. Dumas tries to turn Zed's own spirit against him, but the spirit doesn't obey Dumas any better than it did Zed. It goes rogue and heads into town, wreaking havoc and preventing Zymot's invasion by killing many of its soldiers, not to mention forcibly removing Dumas's own spirit shard before returning to Zed.

8. Betrayal's Whereabouts

An unknown party claiming to be No-Face the thief declares that he will steal Zed's spirit shard. Robes moves in with Mickey, Dumas, & the others, and begins to treat Dumas as a slave.

7. Awakened Thoughts

May 14, 2006

Now we're back to Zed's battle. He's taking a beating because he doesn't know how to call out his spirit at will. Robes is so impressed by Zed's incompetence that he declares he'll take Zed down without using shards.

6. Premature Outcome

May 7, 2006

Gale executes his father, but Noah's friends are able to rescue Noah before he's carted away by the army. Gale then punishes the whole town by razing a park they built without a permit and evicting all the citizens to other towns all over the nation.

5. The Country Of The Buddhist Precepts

April 30, 2006

Remember Noah? He's somehow wound up in the same world as Zed, but in a different country ruled by religious ideologues who use murderous violence to enforce their happy-smiley-sounding ideal of "absolute justice". A kind middle-aged couple take him in and care for him as their own son.

4. The Wind's Decision

April 23, 2006

Robes reveals that he has known about Dumas's secret infirmary, but claims to have no interest in the affairs of a peasant farmer, shard champion or not. Meanwhile, Templar's ruling council of sages decides not to take any action against Dumas, however, for some unspecified reason it is also decided that Robes will be reclaiming the land that his house has lent to Dumas.

3. Those With Power

The physical toll of the previous left Zed with no energy, and he now awakens in the care of Zico and Sebastian once again. Zico suggests that Zed go visit Dumas, the man who early laid him flat in a single punch. Zed agrees and later makes his way to Dumas's farm, where he meets Mickey, a young shardcaster-in-training.

2. New World

April 9, 2006

Disoriented, Zed tries to come to grips with his new surroundings and the giant shard creatures that threaten to stomp him flat in the midst of their own battle to the death. Over the course of the battle, Zed is knocked unconscious, and Zico meanwhile defeats his Zymotan adversary.

1. Wind Of Fate

April 2, 2006

Zed is an incorrigible delinquent, and his repeated acts of vandalism and wanton destruction of public property have gotten him in deep with the school board and principal. Despite Noah's best attempts to defend his actions, Zed is now truly at the end of his rope, and faces serious punishment at the hands of school officials or the police-whoever catches him first.
