Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event is a two-part reality TV special from the E! channel that covers the planning, preparations and wedding ceremony of Kim Kardashian and basketball player Kris Humphries. The entire Kardashian clan gets involved in the celebration, from sisters Kourtney and Khloe throwing a bridal shower, to mom Kris Jenner getting some jowl-firming plastic surgery so that she looks good in the wedding photos.

In Part 1, Kim needs to make a myriad of decisions, from which Vera Wang dress to wear on her big day to what type of musician suits the reception party, Robin Thicke or Christina Aguilera? The other Kardashians help Kim make her choices on bouquet flowers, menu items and tiara style. At the same time, her sisters begin to express doubts about the groom, calling him Frankenstein or questioning whether he will be a loyal husband. At the same time, Kim debates whether to take the Humphries name as her own, which creates tension between the couple, which her mother only increases when she tries to explain to Kim's future husband that the Kardashian name is Kim's identity.
