Ep 7. Zayna Flaming Grill Pt. 1

Chef Gordon Ramsay returns with another episode of Kitchen Nightmares. In this episode, titled "Zayna Flaming Grill Pt. 1", Chef Ramsay heads to Redondo Beach, California to help a struggling restaurant, Zayna Flaming Grill.

Zayna Flaming Grill is a Pakistani-Indian fusion restaurant owned by a married couple, Zayna and Zaigham. The couple opened the restaurant in 2011 and it became an instant hit. However, over the years, the quality of food and service has gone down, resulting in a decline in business and revenue. The restaurant is in such a dire situation that the couple's children have started to work at the restaurant to help keep it afloat.

Upon arriving at the restaurant, Chef Ramsay is not impressed with the exterior, which he describes as "dilapidated". As he enters the restaurant, he notices that it is empty. Not a good sign for a restaurant that should be busy during lunch hour. Chef Ramsay greets the couple and then takes a seat to look at the menu. He orders a few dishes and waits for the food to arrive.

When the food finally arrives, Chef Ramsay is disappointed by the presentation and taste. The chicken curry is dry and lacks any flavor. The naan bread is overcooked and burnt. The lamb chops are so tough that they cannot be cut with a knife.

After the meal, Chef Ramsay heads to the kitchen to meet the chefs responsible for the food. It is clear to him that the chefs lack passion and skill. They are using frozen food and pre-packaged seasoning to cook the dishes, which is unacceptable in a restaurant that claims to serve fresh, authentic Pakistani-Indian cuisine.

Next, Chef Ramsay meets the servers and observes them in action. He discovers that they too lack enthusiasm and knowledge about the menu. They do not know how to sell the dishes or make suggestions to customers.

After gaining a thorough understanding of the restaurant's problems, Chef Ramsay meets with the couple to discuss his observations. He also suggests that they retrain their servers and bring some passion back into the restaurant.
