Law on The Border is an action-oriented television series that airs on Animal Planet. Law on the Border is a reality television show that follows the Nogales K-9 unit as they investigate crimes and keep order on the border of the United States and Mexico. The main focus of the K-9 unit is to battle a drug cartel that regularly sends drugs and mules over the Mexican border into the United States.

Nogales is a town right on the border of Arizona and Mexico and it has become a central hotspot in maintaining border security. The K-9 unit is always accompanied by their dogs, who are capable of sniffing out drugs. They focus on finding and confiscating drugs and weapons and catching illegal immigrants who are trying to sneak into the country.

Nogales is the middle of the desert and the series shows all the unusual sites that the K-9 unit has to investigate in order to find criminals and their stashes. They go into abandoned homes which are dangerous in many ways. Nogales is notable for having a long fence along its Southern border that separates the city from Mexico. It is along this border that the K-9 unit must patrol with their dogs. The fence extends over three miles and the K-9 unit is tasked with securing all of it.

The series also focuses on the backgrounds of the different cops who make up the unit. Officer Mesta is new to the force and he is eager to prove himself. Office Flores has been with the unit for a long time but he never seems to get tired of the long, stressful days. Office Vasquez is the adrenaline junkie of the group. He is always looking to prove himself by volunteering for the most dangerous assignments.
