Ep 3. The First Contact Job

The Leverage team is back in action for season 5 and ready to take on their next job. In episode 3, titled "The First Contact Job," the team is hired to help a businessman who has been scammed by a supposed alien race. The businessman, John Henley, had invested millions of dollars in a project that was supposed to make first contact with extraterrestrial life. However, after years of waiting and no progress, Henley realized that he had been swindled and wants his money back.

The team's initial investigation reveals that the supposed alien race, the "Wraiths," are actually a group of con artists who have been scamming people for years. Their leader, Avery, manages to stay one step ahead of the law and the team as they try to track him down. In order to catch Avery and get Henley's money back, the team has to infiltrate the Wraith's secretive organization.

To do this, the team enlists the help of a young woman named Sophie who is a super fan of the Wraiths. Sophie is able to get close to the group and eventually befriends Avery himself. Meanwhile, the rest of the team puts together a plan to steal Avery's laptop, which they hope will contain evidence of his scam.

Things get more complicated when Avery's ex-partner, who had disappeared years ago, suddenly reappears. It turns out that she had been working with the team all along and had been laying low in order to get close to Avery. With her help, the team is able to pull off a daring heist and get the evidence they need to take down Avery and the Wraiths.

However, things don't go quite as planned when one of the team members is captured by Avery and held as a hostage. The rest of the team has to work quickly to rescue their teammate and bring Avery and his accomplices to justice.

Overall, "The First Contact Job" is an exciting episode full of twists and turns as the team tries to outsmart a group of experienced con artists. With the help of some new allies and a well-planned heist, the team is able to get their man and restore justice for their client. Fans of the show will love seeing the team back in action and using their unique skills to take down another group of bad guys.
