Lone Star is a television show that is about a guy named Robert Allen. James Wolk plays Robert Allen who is a con-man. He has two lives. In Robert's first life he lives in Houston, Texas. He goes by the name of Bob in Houston. Bob is married to a woman named Cat. Bob works for Cat's father, who is very wealthy from his oil business. In Robert's second life he goes by the name of Robert. Robert lives in Midland, Texas. Lindsay is Robert's girlfriend in Midland.

Robert is plotting on taking over his father-in-laws oil business. Robert has to work very hard to keep his double lives secret and to keep all of his lies straight. Robert is in love with his wife and his girlfriend, and he is torn between both of them. Robert at times finds himself wishing that he could for once have a normal life.

Adrianne Palicki plays Bob's wife. Eloise Mumford plays Robert's girlfriend.
