Love It or List It is a popular home renovation and reality series that showcases the talents of powerhouse duo, Hilary Farr and David Visentin. Season 8 episode 8 is titled Sport-Centric Lifestyle, and as the name suggests, it's a unique episode where homeowners have a dilemma to either make their home more suited for their active lifestyles or search for a new house that already caters to their needs.

In this episode, we meet the Shaw family, Elise, Chris, and their three children. The family loves spending their time outdoors and has several sporting activities that they undertake as a family. They have a ping pong table, a golf simulator, a basketball hoop, and a rock-climbing wall among other things to keep them entertained.

The Shaw family has lived in their house for five years, and while they feel it's a fantastic home, they feel it's not suitable for their sporty lifestyle. They want to transform their house into a home that meets their unique needs, but the big question is: can Hilary Farr make their dreams come true, or will David Visentin find them a new home that's already perfect for them?

Hilary Farr has her work cut out in this episode. She has to create space in the house without adding additional square footage. She has to upgrade the kitchen, add a new bathroom, and reconfigure the living room to make it more spacious.

Finding the right balance will be a challenge, but with Hilary's creative design skills, she assists in transforming their home into a functional space that not only accommodates but also enhances the Shaw families' active lifestyle. Adding open shelves with a touch of modern acrylic doors and a few new appliances makes the kitchen more functional, while expanding the living room allows for more space to host family and friends.

David Visentin, on the other hand, must find the ideal house for the Shaw family within their budget. One of the biggest challenges he faces is finding a new place within the same neighborhood since the family loves their community and doesn't want to move far away.

David excels at finding homes that are already suited to his clients' needs and preferences. In this episode, he takes the Shaw family to see a house with a basketball court in the backyard. The home has a massive front lawn, which is perfect for playing soccer or other outdoor sports. David also shows them another house with a vast basement that they can easily transform into a sports room without breaking the bank.

Elise and Chris are a little torn as they wander through these houses, and David's job is not easy since he has to navigate buying a new home that will leave the family satisfied and happy with their purchase. He has to make sure that they don't have to compromise on any of the features that they're used to at their current house.

As the episode unfolds, the Shaw family must decide if they will opt to Love It or List It. This isn't an easy decision, and viewers get to see the team presenting the homeowners with the pros and cons of each option.

Sport-Centric Lifestyle is a fun-filled, action-packed episode that showcases how Hilary Farr and David Visentin can work together to give homeowners a dream space. It highlights the challenges that arise when trying to upgrade your home to match your unique lifestyle and needs. The Shaw family has a tough decision to make in choosing between a renovated and upgraded home or a brand new house that already meets their needs. Be sure to tune in to this exciting episode to see what they choose!
