Jamie and Paul have been married for a little while now and they are discovering that it's not always easy to find alone time. In this episode, titled "Togetherness," the couple decides to spend an entire day together, just the two of them. They've made all sorts of plans, but as often happens, things don't go quite as expected.

The episode begins with Jamie talking to her therapist, Dr. Conroy, about how she's feeling a bit frustrated with Paul. She explains that they just don't seem to have any alone time anymore. Whenever they're at home, they're constantly interrupted by phone calls, visitors, and other distractions.

Dr. Conroy suggests that the couple try spending an entire day together, without any interruptions. Jamie thinks this is a great idea, and it's not long before she convinces Paul to give it a try.

The two of them make all sorts of plans for their day together. They decide to start out with breakfast at their favorite diner, followed by a walk in the park, and then a trip to a museum. They also plan to cook dinner together that night.

But of course, things don't go quite as planned. As soon as they arrive at the diner, they run into somebody they know. It's Paul's old college friend, Mark, and he's in town for the day. Mark is excited to see Paul and insists on joining them for breakfast.

Jamie is a bit annoyed, but she tries to make the best of it. She thinks that maybe they can still salvage their day together. But as the day goes on, it seems like every time they turn around, there's somebody else there, interrupting their alone time.

At the park, they run into Jamie's mom, who insists on taking their picture and then lingering for a while, chatting away. At the museum, they run into Paul's boss, who wants to show them his favorite exhibit. And then, when they finally get back home to cook dinner together, their neighbors show up with a casserole and want to chat.

It's enough to drive anybody crazy, and Jamie and Paul start to bicker. Jamie accuses Paul of not being committed to their day together, and Paul accuses Jamie of being too controlling. It seems like their day of togetherness has turned into a nightmare.

But eventually, they realize that they've been looking at things all wrong. They've been so focused on the interruptions and the people who are getting in the way that they've forgotten why they wanted to spend the day together in the first place.

They decide to let go of their expectations and to just enjoy each other's company, no matter what happens. They ditch the plans they had for dinner and order pizza instead. They turn on some music and dance in the living room.

As the episode ends, Jamie and Paul are snuggled up on the couch together, both of them exhausted but happy. They've realized that even when things aren't perfect and things don't go according to plan, they still have each other. That's what really matters in the end.
