In Mad Men season 5 episode 2, titled "A Little Kiss - Part 2," we pick up where the previous episode left off and continue to follow the personal and professional lives of the characters who work at the Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce advertising agency.
The episode begins with Don Draper (played by Jon Hamm) and Megan Draper (played by Jessica Paré) hosting a dinner party for their colleagues, but tensions are high as some of the guests are uncomfortable with Megan's newfound power and influence at the agency. Meanwhile, Don is struggling with writer's block and his relationship with Megan, as she seems to be the only one who can break him out of it.
Elsewhere at the agency, Peggy Olson (played by Elisabeth Moss) is dealing with the fallout of her decision to leave SCDP and join a rival agency. She's also faced with the challenge of working on a difficult ad campaign, while her former boss and mentor, Don, seems to be thriving without her.
Roger Sterling (played by John Slattery) is dealing with his own set of personal and professional problems, as he grapples with his aging and irrelevant status at the agency, as well as his failing marriage and extramarital affairs.
The episode also introduces us to new characters, such as Michael Ginsberg (played by Ben Feldman), a young and talented creative writer who clashes with Peggy, and Beth Dawes (played by Alexis Bledel), a mentally unstable patient that Pete Campbell (played by Vincent Kartheiser) becomes involved with.
Overall, "A Little Kiss - Part 2" is a compelling continuation of Mad Men's fifth season, exploring the complex and nuanced relationships between its diverse cast of characters amid the changing cultural landscape of the 1960s.
