Ep 8. The Things We Bury

In Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2 episode 8, "The Things We Bury," the team continues to delve into the past in order to uncover the secrets that have been kept hidden for years.

The episode begins with flashbacks of Agent Carter interrogating Whitehall back in 1945, trying to get information on the mysterious alien technology that Hydra had been experimenting with. We then jump back to the present day, where Coulson and his team are working with Bakshi, who has been held captive in order to gather more information about Hydra's plans. With his help, they discover that Whitehall is still alive and that he has been hiding in plain sight for years.

Meanwhile, Skye is dealing with her own past as she tries to understand the full extent of her powers. May takes her to see her mother, Jiaying, a gifted healer who lives in a secluded area where she helps others with abilities like Skye's. As Skye begins to learn more about her heritage and her powers, she also begins to uncover some disturbing truths about her family.

Back at S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, Fitz continues to struggle with the aftermath of his traumatic brain injury and tries to repair his relationship with Simmons. However, their conversations are interrupted by the arrival of Dr. List, a Hydra scientist who has come to take possession of a valuable artifact. Fitz and Simmons soon realize that this artifact may hold the key to unlocking the secrets that Whitehall has been keeping hidden all these years.

As the team races to uncover the truth about Whitehall and his plans, they are confronted with new dangers and unexpected allies. With each new revelation, they come closer to the truth but also closer to the realization that there is much more at stake than just stopping Hydra's plans. The lines between good and evil are blurred as they grapple with the legacy of the past and the choices that they must make in order to protect the future.
