In the sixth and final episode of Wolf Hall, tensions between the King and Queen are at an all-time high. Anne Boleyn is unable to give Henry VIII a son, and as a result, he begins to lose faith in her. Meanwhile, Thomas Cromwell continues to rise in power and influence, causing jealousy and resentment among the courtiers.
As the political and personal drama unfolds, Cromwell is tasked with securing the annulment of the King's marriage to Queen Anne. This proves to be a difficult and dangerous task, as Anne's family and supporters are fiercely loyal and will do anything to prevent the annulment from happening.
In the midst of this turmoil, Cromwell must also deal with his own personal demons, including the memories of his troubled childhood and the guilt he feels over the death of his wife and children.
