Ep 1. Pilot

Melissa is a young politician who has just been given the task of caring for her niece and nephew after their parents go to jail for financial crimes. She realizes that she is not equipped to care for them alone, and after some deliberation, she decides to bring in a male nanny named Joey.

Joey is a laid-back and carefree guy who has just lost his job as a trader and is looking for something new. He's not exactly the most qualified candidate for the job, but Melissa is willing to take a chance on him. Joey quickly becomes a beloved figure in the household, winning over the kids and Melissa's friends and family.

In the first episode, titled "Pilot," Melissa's sister drops off her kids with Melissa, much to her surprise. Throughout the first episode, viewers are introduced to the characters in this new family unit. Melissa's niece Lennox is a practiced rebel, whose intellectual curiosity fuels her thirst for boundary-pushing. Her brother, Ryder, is a goofy and lovable 13-year-old who has a hard time focusing on anything but sports. Melissa's work best friend, a woman named Allie, has her own issues with men, and has a hard time trusting Joey. Despite these obstacles, Melissa and Joey work together to create a functional and happy household.

In "Pilot," viewers see the evolution of Melissa and Joey's relationship, from awkward first meeting to eventual partnership.
