Minority Report is a science-fiction crime drama television series that first aired on FOX in 2015. The show is based on the 2002 movie of the same name, which was directed by Steven Spielberg and starred Tom Cruise. Even though the show uses the same concept as the movie, it has its own storyline, characters, and plot.

The story is set in Washington D.C. in the year 2065, ten years after the events of the movie. In this future, a special police department called "PreCrime" has been established to prevent crimes before they happen. This is made possible by the use of "precogs" - individuals who can predict future crimes by having visions of them. After the events of the movie, the PreCrime program was dismantled, and the precogs were released into society.

However, one of the precogs, Dash (played by Stark Sands), is haunted by visions of future crimes and seeks out Detective Lara Vega (played by Meagan Good) to help him prevent them from happening. When Vega sees the accuracy of Dash's visions, she enlists his help in solving crimes, even though this means going against the law.

Vega is a tough, no-nonsense detective who is determined to get to the bottom of every crime. She has a past that has made her tough, and she holds a grudge against the PreCrime system for imprisoning her brother for a crime he didn't commit. However, she has a soft side that is revealed when she helps Dash and gains his trust.

Dash is sensitive and innocent, unlike his two other precog siblings. He experiences emotions and has a strong moral code, which often comes into conflict with Vega's need to solve crimes at all costs. Arthur (also played by Stark Sands), is Dash's twin brother, who seems to have embraced his gift by using it to amass wealth and power. He is the brains behind Dash's visions and occasionally helps Vega with information.

Agatha (played by Laura Regan) is the third precog who is still haunted by visions and is reluctant to use her gift. She has a close relationship with Dash and often hides him from the authorities. Wally (played by Daniel London) is the scientist who created the PreCrime program and has become a recluse after its dismantling. He is the only one who truly understands the precogs and is therefore instrumental in helping Vega and Dash.

Other characters include Akeela (played by Li Jun Li), Vega's partner, who is initially skeptical of Dash but eventually becomes his friend. Will Blake (played by Wilmer Valderrama) is an FBI agent who is investigating the precogs and their abilities. He is also Vega's ex-boyfriend, which adds some tension to their relationship. Rico (played by Zhane Hall) is a streetwise teenager who gets involved with Vega and Dash's investigations.

Minority Report is a well-written and well-acted show with an engaging storyline that keeps viewers hooked. It explores the themes of morality, justice, and free will, which are all relevant in today's society. The show also has a high production value, with impressive special effects and futuristic technology that create a convincing world set in the future.

Despite its strengths, the show only lasted one season, leaving many unanswered questions and loose ends. However, it remains a cult favorite among science fiction and crime drama fans who appreciate its unique concept and compelling characters.

In summary, Minority Report is a gripping crime drama that explores the possibilities of a world where crimes can be predicted and prevented before they happen. With engaging characters, an intriguing storyline, and a thought-provoking premise, it is a show that offers a unique and thrilling viewing experience.
