Ep 1. Pilot

In the first episode of Missing, titled Pilot, we are introduced to Becca Winstone, a former CIA analyst who now lives a peaceful life with her husband and son. However, her life is turned upside down when her son, Michael, disappears while studying abroad in Rome.

Becca immediately boards a plane to Rome to look for her son, but she quickly realizes that the local authorities are not being helpful. In fact, they tell her that Michael left voluntarily and that there is nothing they can do to help her. But Becca is not one to give up easily, and she starts to investigate on her own.

Her investigation takes her all over Rome, as she tries to trace Michael's steps and find any clues as to where he might be. She discovers that Michael had been living with a girl named Oksana, and that they had become close. Becca convinces Oksana to help her, and together they start to unravel a web of lies and deceit.

As the investigation deepens, Becca realizes that Michael's disappearance might be related to her work for the CIA. She had been involved in a mission in which a terrorist known as Paul Winstone, who was also her husband, was killed. Becca suspects that Michael might have uncovered something related to that mission, and that his life might now be in danger.

Throughout the episode, we see flashbacks to Becca's life before Michael's disappearance. We see her happy with her husband, and we also see her as a tough CIA agent who is not afraid to take risks. As the flashbacks continue, we start to understand how her past is shaping her present, and how her determination to find Michael is fueled by her guilt and her need for redemption.

The episode ends with a dramatic twist, as Becca discovers a clue that might lead her to Michael. But just as she is about to follow that lead, she is attacked by an unknown assailant and left for dead. The last shot is a close-up of Becca's face, as she struggles to stay conscious and keep fighting for her son.

Overall, Pilot sets up the premise for the rest of the series in a compelling way. We are given a glimpse into Becca's past and her motivations, and we are also introduced to the main mystery of the season – what happened to Michael and why. The episode is fast-paced and action-packed, with plenty of suspenseful moments and unexpected twists. It leaves the viewer wanting more, eager to see where Becca's search for her son will take her next.
