Ep 6. Where There's Smoke, There's Fire

In this episode of Mountain Men season 3, titled "Where There's Smoke, There's Fire," the mountain men face various challenges as they continue to live off the grid and rely on their wilderness skills.

Marty Meierotto faces a daunting task as he attempts to deliver a load of supplies to his remote trapping cabin. The journey involves traversing rough terrain and crossing a dangerous river. Marty's horses are also feeling the strain of the journey, and he must decide whether to push on or turn back before it's too late.

Tom Oar is dealing with a different kind of challenge, as he works to keep his smokehouse operational. After experiencing a fire that destroyed his previous smokehouse, Tom has to be extra careful as he uses fire to cure his meat. However, a sudden rainstorm threatens to extinguish his fire, which could ruin his meat and set him back for the winter.

Eustace Conway is also having trouble with fire, as he tries to start a controlled burn on his property in order to clear out dead trees and prevent a future wildfire. However, the weather conditions are not ideal, and Eustace must decide whether to proceed with the burn or wait for better conditions.

In addition to these challenges, the mountain men also face the day-to-day struggles of living in the wilderness. Jason Hawk is in the middle of trapping season and must constantly monitor his trap lines to ensure he catches enough furs to make a living. Meanwhile, Rich Lewis is struggling to find enough food to sustain himself during the winter months.

As the episode progresses, the mountain men must rely on their skills and resourcefulness to overcome these challenges and survive in the harsh conditions of the wilderness. Whether they are facing fire, floods, or other obstacles, the mountain men must stay focused and determined if they hope to make it through another season.
