Ep 10. Hard Target

In the 10th episode of season 4 of Mountain Men, titled "Hard Target", the rugged men continue to face the harsh realities of living off the grid as they hunt for food, gather resources, and protect themselves from dangerous predators.

Marty Meierotto, who resides in the remote wilderness of Alaska, prepares for the upcoming winter by fortifying his cabin and trapping fur-bearing animals to sell for income. However, he faces unexpected challenges when his traps are sprung by a cunning wolverine that consistently avoids his bait.

Meanwhile, Eustace Conway, a Carolina man who lives off the land and educates others about sustainable living, makes a daring attempt to catch a beaver that has been flooding his property. Using his immense knowledge of nature and survival skills, Eustace sets traps and attempts to outsmart the crafty beaver in order to prevent any further damage to his property.

Tom Oar, a veteran mountain man who lives in Montana, faces a different challenge as he tracks down a mountain lion that has been preying on his horses. With the help of his trusty dogs, Tom sets out to locate and eliminate the threat to protect his livestock and livelihood.

Lastly, in the remote area of Yaak Valley, Montana, Rich Lewis continues to combat the encroachment of wildlife onto his property, which includes aggressive bears and marauding wolves. He sets up cameras to monitor the situation and lays traps to catch the animals, hoping to prevent any danger to himself or his family.

As with every episode of Mountain Men, "Hard Target" showcases the incredible physical and mental endurance required to survive off the grid in some of the harshest environments in the world. The men face daunting challenges, deal with unpredictable wildlife, and test their limits as they attempt to maintain their self-sufficient lifestyles.
