The episode begins with a focus on Eustace Conway, who has recently been dealing with bad weather conditions and is trying to finish the winter shelter. He has been up against strong winds and snowfall, which has made it very difficult to complete the project. In addition to this struggle, Eustace also has to manage his farm and livestock by himself. He is shown tending to his cattle that have been experiencing calving problems. Eustace has to stay alert and focused because the weather conditions can be harsh enough to turn a disaster into a life and death situation.
