In the sixth season of Murdoch Mysteries, episode 7 "The Ghost of Queen's Park," Detective William Murdoch investigates a murder that appears to have been committed by a ghost.

The episode opens with Murdoch and his colleagues at the Toronto police station, discussing an unusual case. A man named Samuel James has been found dead in Queen's Park, one of the city's public parks. The strange thing about this case is that James was killed by a weapon that seemed to be wielded by an invisible force. There were no witnesses, no suspects, and no evidence of any human contact with James' body.

Murdoch is convinced that the death was the work of a ghost, but his colleagues are skeptical. They believe that there must be a rational explanation for what happened. To prove his theory, Murdoch decides to conduct an investigation of the park, hoping to find some clues that might lead him to the truth.

As he begins his search, Murdoch is approached by a young woman named Beatrice. Beatrice is a psychic, and she claims to have seen the ghost responsible for James' murder. She tells Murdoch that the ghost is a woman, dressed in Victorian-era clothing, and carrying a pair of scissors. Beatrice believes that the ghost is seeking revenge for a crime committed against her many years ago.

Murdoch is intrigued by Beatrice's story and decides to accompany her to a seance that she has arranged. At the seance, Murdoch and his colleagues are introduced to several other people who claim to have witnessed paranormal activity in the park. One woman describes seeing a figure moving through the trees, while another man says he heard voices whispering in his ear.

Despite his colleagues' skepticism, Murdoch remains convinced that the ghost is real. He continues his investigation, interviewing park visitors and researching the history of the area. His efforts lead him to a wealthy family who once owned the land where the park is located. Murdoch learns that a young woman, dressed in Victorian-era clothing, did indeed die there many years ago. Her name was Mary and she was murdered with a pair of scissors.

As Murdoch and his colleagues dig deeper, they uncover a web of secrets and lies. The wealthy family has been covering up the murder for years, and they will go to great lengths to protect their reputation. Murdoch realizes that the truth about Mary's death may be the key to solving the current case, and he must find a way to uncover it.
