As they talk, Twilight Sparkle learns that Moondancer's withdrawal from others was actually a coping mechanism after Twilight Sparkle left Canterlot without saying goodbye. This revelation, combined with Twilight Sparkle's sincere apology, finally puts Moondancer's mind at ease, and the two friends reconcile.
The episode ends with Twilight Sparkle and Moondancer happily catching up, while Twilight Sparkle's friends watch from a nearby rooftop, beaming with joy at the success of their mission.
"Amending Fences" is a heartwarming episode about the power of forgiveness and the importance of maintaining friendships. It's a wonderful reminder that no matter how much time has passed, it's never too late to make things right and rebuild a relationship with someone you care about.
