Rarity is in search of the perfect gift for her sister, Sweetie Belle's, upcoming birthday. She decides to enlist the help of her friend, Pinkie Pie, who suggests they visit Rarity's other friend, Maud Pie. Meanwhile, Mudbriar begins to bond with the rest of the Mane 6, showing them his unique way of looking at the world and helping them to see things in a different light. Rarity begins to see the value in Mudbriar's friendship with Maud and realizes that everyone has their own unique way of looking at the world. She also comes to the realization that the perfect gift doesn't have to be expensive or flashy, but rather something that comes from the heart.

In the end, Rarity and Pinkie Pie create unique and personalized jewelry pieces for Sweetie Belle and Cheese Sandwich, respectively. Maud surprises Rarity with an unexpected gift of her own, showing her how much their friendship means to her.
